That Beasley TD Though

Recommended Posts

Kudos to Grady for the strip sack. Takk should have gotten a half sack. Beasley did a good job of picking it up and keeping his feet. Go back and watch the blocking on that play though. Good Lawd:

  • 34 - sprung him
  • 95 - sealed the cut back
  • 98 - got two key blocks
  • 29 - made the last block to the end zone

That was a fast and physical play. Being about the ball. You need plays like that to win Bowls. Rinse and repeat. Beasley could have saved that weak TonyG penalty though.

I wasn't even mad about the penalty, honestly.

I wasn't either but the last time he tried to dunk the field goal was at the Rams game and he pulled a hammy. He should have learned from that game that he doesn't have Tony G's ups

He picked that up and turned from a dead stop and outran everyone on the field. He can even dunk. Such a stupid rule, though. You can basically do whatever you want to celebrate a TD but do anything to the goal post?

its because people have altered the position of the goal in the process before.  Having to fix a lop-sided field goal post during the game should actually be avoided.

The one bright spot of the game, even though Vic didn't look particularly "fast."

No he didn't.

Part of it was trying to read the play, but buddy might have some kind of injury we haven't heard about.

I know he limped off a couple times this year. I'll have to go back and find that tape to see what happened.

It’s because players were bending the goals posts and they had to stop games to repair the posts. It’s a good rule.
