Julio closing in on history

OBJ will try but I don't think he get it, especially with Barkley being the first option now.

He is close he's at 5200 at 55 games. His injury last year might have taken him out of the running. He also will have to deal with a new QB and probably new HC in the next couple of years.

In his injury shortened season OBJ was averaging 75.5 yards a catch. He played 4 games. Julio played 5 games and was averaging 116. Lots of ground to make up.

Yeah he is the only contender but seems increasingly unlikely with the situation in NY.

Also gotta take in account that Julio played with Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez. He didn’t become the man until 2015. OBJ was the guy his second year and Manning will force the ball to him. Also how much better has OBJ actually made the giants? Julio certainly makes ya better.

Obj being all they have at wr makes him a very likely candidate. Julio had to share the ball with Roddy and TG as the 3rd option. Didn’t even become the man til 2015 and missed basically an entire season with a broken foot.

Why do people keep talking about missing games. It is not based off age or seasons played. Its games PLAYED. So OBJ missing games or Julio missing games does not matter for this.

Julio would already be at 11,000+ yards and on a pace never seen before age wise if he didn't miss 17 games already in his career.

It's more about yards per game than games played. Julio averages 97 yards per game and OBJ averages 94.7

So if you do the math it would be around 106 games for OBJ, which makes it close. It all depends on who they bring in to replace Manning and if he slows that pace down.

OBJ is on pace to hit it at 105.5 games, so he's close.  But his per game average has gone down significantly since his rookie season.  He will have to average 102 yards per game over his next 47 games to hit 10k in his 102nd game.  He hasn't averaged 100+ yards per game in a season over the past 4 years, so it's pretty tough to imagine him doing that for 3 consecutive seasons.

Yep like you said Julio did his time as Robin and admitted as much to Prime in an interview. Now he has the torch Ridley is Robin and the cycle continues.

Good pickup as usual and it puts what Julios doing even more amazing throw in that season he was out 12 or 13 games he'd have blown away 10 K yards a season earlier easily.

They don't count missed games in the speed to 10k.  This will be his 103rd game played.

What is pretty amazing is he had a really slow start, comparatively speaking.  He only averaged 74.35 yards per game his first 2 seasons.  He has averaged 105.8 yards per game ever since, over the past 6 seasons.

Julio has a good chance of overtaking Roddy as all time Falcons WR in yards this year. Roddy has 10,863 yards. Ryan and Julio will be Falcons best WR-QB duo. All time best WR- QB duo is Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison with 12,800+ yards. Roddy still owns the most TD by WR in Falcons history with 67.

Speaking of money

The most impressive play Julio made in that game when he was one of 3 guys that made key blocks that got Ito Smith in the end zone.Aint no one talking about plays like that.

I saw him do something similar in Freemans first big run in the SB way back in 2016 see everyone talks about the spectacular highlight reel stuff, thing is Julio does it all.

Dont worry I'm watching.

This is based on number of games played, not calendar time, so the lost time doesn't have an impact.

It does in the case of he’d already have the 10k had he not missed those games year. In other words we would’ve been celebrating this LAST season and not this upcoming game. The injury threw him off schedule a year.

Good chance? I knew that was gonna happen soon as we drafted him. Roddy was a great falcon but he’s never had Julio’s talent. He’s on another planet with that. A planet that only consists of Randy Moss as far as wr’s go. And I’m talkkng about just pure talent. Not even the hard work that made Jerry rice who he was. Just be born.

This year. I knew Julio was gonna break RW record long time ago.
