I know Richardson isn't all that but that doesn't go to say he's not capable of having a big game. When it comes down to opponents against the Falcons you can't just look at their stats and make any significant judgement about said player. You have to actually look at the player without any statistical biases.

Even though we destroyed the Seahawks in the playoffs Richardson could not be covered by anyone. He has a tendency to make spectacular catches and I don't think the Oliver is ready for him tbh.

Olivers change of direction is poor for a CB and Richardson is a bad matchup for his type. He's really only good for 9 routes as far as I can see so far.

In 5 consecutive games the Falcons have faced WRs that will get HOF consideration one day.....and QBs that weren't afraid to throw the ball down the field.  I'm just glad the Falcons didn't have to put Oliver out there on those guys.

I've been watching the Redskins all season and this is the weakest passing game the Falcons are going to face.  If they let Smith light them up, then obviously it doesn't bode well for the rest of the season.

you haven’t been watching the falcons defense then. Redskins have more than enough weapons to get it done, they may not be household names but there still a good group of skill positions

Here is all I am saying.  In the last 5 games, the Falcons have played against the WRs who are ranked 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th all time in yards per game.  They couldn't play number 1 because he is on the Falcons.  Number 3 is Calvin Johnson.

It's literally been as stressful a stretch of receivers as humanly possible over the last 5 weeks, and I am feeling a lot better against them lining up against the Redskins this week.  But people can be scared about it if they want.  I'm not anyone to tell anyone how to feel.

I can't disagree with that. I guess our pass defense won't be much different than these last few weeks though if it is better it's probably because we're facing Smith. Alford has been terrible and I just can't imagine if the rook is any worse than he's been this season because lord knows that will be ugly. I just want Oliver matched up against Doctson due to their similar physical profiles.

Just a guess, but I think Oliver steps up like that San Fran kid did last night.

I'm not sure about what some of you are seeing in his change of direction claims. Dude looks pretty decent on comebacks and curls, something the other lanky corner Q drafted in Collins struggled with immensely.

Lol for real I've seen too many "breakout" games against a falcons defense and I'm fairly young.

I mean it's really quite a remarkable anomaly in the schedule when you think about it........the Falcons faced the top 5 active YPG receivers in the NFL (after Julio)  in 5 consecutive weeks.  That's freaking wild...and the timing was bad with those injuries.

No detail is shared as usual.. All we know that after the bye week, He couldn't practice. so might have happened against Giants but we never paid attention.

Just to set the record straight, Alford was hurt during the Giants game and finished the game.  He wasn't hurt during the bye week.

Word to KFK....the Cowgirls traded for Amari Cooper......thats a matchup problem for sure.

lol it is?

Based on.....?

Cooper's problems (of which there were many) in Oakland arent all that likely to be remedied based upon how the Cowboys intend to use him.

He's a "matchup problem" in that way that pretty much anyone playing football is a matchup problem for this defense. But relative to the rest of the teams we've played this year or will play the rest of the season? Nah. He's in the bottom 3 "primary targets" we'll face all year.

Trent Williams out for Washington.

That's a nice score for Takk/Vic.

I hear redskins fans really like their backup LT and think he’ll do fine. Apparently he did well against Olivier Vernon. Hopefully Takk finds success against him though, and Beasley better do something. He’s played Morgan Moses before at his time at Clemson, let’s see if he can actually perform.
