If it's totally irrelevant to the job, it does make it homophobic. I can't think of a job where your employer needs to know your sexual orientation.....besides porn and maybe being a priest.

I agree it is irrelevant. The priest burn was awesome btw lol

Teams that are trying to get to the SB are making moves trying to strengthen their team. But not the F O noooo, no one is good enough. I don't think we should give up a 1st or a 2nd but draft picks aren't guaranteed to work out we have a few that haven't worked out ourselves. Come on we've lossed so many close games I think if TD would have gotten some help for a 4th to 7th round draft pick It may have helped us get over the hump. BUT "We are good like we are."

Regardless of the differing opinions on Trufant, Alford, and Oliver, I am surprised that people would want this extremely weak minded individual on the team.  He is as soft as they come.

It all depends on whose making these assessments really.  It’s difficult to take some mealy mouths here seriously because they’re just spouting off irresponsibly oftentimes.  If we went with the AFMB method of running the team, we’d be bankrupt with the franchise on sale to the highest bidder & have 42 brilliant moves under our belts this year alone.  :ninja:

The team would be 0-16 yearly

I know but I get that this is a message board so it’s easy to take with a grain of salt.

It can be really messed up here though.

The Saints 2019 draft class is taking shape:
1st round: DE Marcus Davenport trade
2nd round: Still own
3rd round: Teddy Bridgewater trade
4th round: Eli Apple trade
5th round: Still own
6th round: Still own + Jets' pick
7th round: Still own

All in for Brees this year.

And for what it's worth, there was no way Apple would come to Atlanta because homophobic Marquand Manuel asked him if he was gay.

Explain how asking someone whether or not he is gay makes one a homophobe.

And if Apple was that (ironically) paranoid and self-conscious, why in the world would he even dare step out of his front door?

Sweet! He got his lunch delivered to him all night last night. Throw away those draft picks you stanky Aints. We would have given him away on this team.

I'm loving this. What a head scratcher.

Lol. I don’t know a single Giants fan upset about losing Eli Apple. Dudes a bust and a locker room problem.

So they likely just gave away a 4th and a 7th (2020) for a guy who probably won't even be on the team when that 7th rolls around in 2020. LSU dad is so proud right now. I just know it.

I was just thinking that I would trade Trufant for Apple all day.

I would trade Trufant for an actual apple right now

Explain how one's sexual preference is relevant to being drafted? Explain why Manuel felt the need to ask when it obviously wasn't a Falcon's policy? Explain why DQ, Blank, and the Falcons organization got pissed off for him asking?

Manuel asked for his own amusement because he obviously disagrees with homosexuality. Don't be naive.

Are you really this ignorant? It has nothing to do with Apple being "self-conscious". This statement is a sad attempt at victim blaming.

The margin of error between 6-10 and 12-4 is really that small. Compared to 2 years ago, we were very bad with the close games.

Yup.....when you really think about it ...a NFL team really has about 60 or 70 plays over the course of a year that determines their record.

You've got to hand it to them, they're going all in to win the Super Bowl this year.  If they don't, they're not going to have much draft capital or salary cap space next year to work with.

Their 2019 estimated cap space is about $14 million, but they have a lot of key free agents to consider re-signing like Teddy Bridgewater, Mark Ingram, Benjamin Watson, Josh Hill, Ken Crawley, P.J. Williams, Tyeler Davison, Manti Te'o, and Wil Lutz.

I think it's an extremely strange decision for a team with a defense this bad to mortgage the future so completely.
