Nats scored 2 in the 6th. 3-2 Mets in the 7th

When is deGrom eligible to leave? I can't believe he would want to stay there.

In July his agent told the Mets to trade him or sign him long term. He wants to know where he'll be. He'll stay if they offer the right money.

Oh man, who knew we had our own umpire? We're like the NFL broadcasts that have the former refs step in when needed.

LOL, graduated and was supposed to work college ball to get to the minors but I decided if I didn't get an immediate minor league assignment I'd come back home and go to college.  That's what happened.  :)

There's nothing anyone can tell me that will make me understand what is so hard about throwing strikes.

Greg Maddux was the best control pitcher ever. Over 3000 career strikeouts and fewer than 1000 career walks and even he had rare games with a bunch walks. That should tell you how hard it can be sometimes. Yeah, not all Maddux's walks were because he couldn't throw strikes, some of them were because he was intentionally pitching around guys. But games with 5, 6 or even 7 walks, yes Maddux did have a game with as many as 7 walks (1990), that isn't him intentionally pitching around guys.

I wouldn't want to stick around there. Maybe he believes in what they are doing though

He hit well from August 28th through September 14th but has gone ice cold again.

Haven't gotten to watch a lot lately, I must have just noticed his lack of power lately.
