GET-ME-A-DB-TD
Would any of these dudes be decent veteran presences for a new MLB like Riley just in case he can't cut it? All three had decent careers and at bare minimum could keep the middle of the field honest(assuming they've stayed in shape).
GET-ME-A-DB-TD
Bowman had pretty great stats to only have played 10 games last season
Falconcheff
I am banging the drum for Navorro Bowman... dude can be the Keanu replacement in the box for sure... bigtime thumper that still has it. Can't hang with pass coverage, but he's a necessary piece with the injuries we've suffered...
Smiler11
If it were 5 years ago sure. Now they are just names.
8ball N M.J.C.
Riley played decent enough in Preseason when he was the Mike with the ones.....that was with NO game planning. None of those guys will want to sit behind Riley and play ST.

DonDaLuvMaker
I'm not sure if Bowman can run anymore to the point he fits the scheme. Quinn's defense is about fast LBs. Bowman hasn't been the same since that horrific injury.
Gold4425
To some no one could help the Falcons just roll with what we got, yeah boy we can do it???????

PeytonMannings Forehead
Loved them all at some point in their careers but none of them can run anymore and in Maualuga's case he never could. You can usually cover for that in a lot of schemes but not this one.
Bobby.Digital
To play LB in this scheme effectively you need SPEED. None of these guys have enough of it to play here.
CrimsonFalcon
Two things all those guys are missing, which are very important to the success of the defense... 1-Speed 2-Knowledge of the scheme. Best bet (if we were to bring a LB in) would be Spoon.

They can split reps but RILEY will cost us games
NYCFalc
Bowman was the top linebacker back in 14 before his injury. Hard to tell where he is at now.
SkerFalcon8710
Why cant we let our young guys go out and decelop with playtime? We suffered through missed tackles and assignments for 10 games with Campbell and jones when they were rookies.. guess what.. they grew up by seasons end let duke and foye own their moment

If there was some slam dunk FA out there that would be a different story, but none of these guys inspire confidence for me. Bowman would be the top of that list, but even then, let our young guys develop.
PriMeTiiMe
This is not madden. You can't just plug any big name MLB into the equation and call it a day. As many have stated all those guys are extremely slow and have no knowledge of our scheme. Edited September 13, 2018 by PriMeTiiMe
Lord Sarcomere
Have to let the young guys take their lumps. It’s the only way they will learn.

This IS THE year...last year and next year I would agree but I think controlling the outcome with the SB in our house would be much more effective...if for no other reason than to bring them in on running downs. No, the record and SB will be taking lumps, but hey you guys love watching development.

And that changes by putting in an over the hill vet? You stated yourself there are no FA's out there that can help, you can't have it both ways. Regardless of who we place in there, this defense and team isn't going to be the same with Neal and Debo out.

Difference is, I’m not sitting here in the off season talking about Howe deep we are at LB. Suck is suck and I’m not very excited about our chances at this stage. Knight of God
I would move Brooks Reed to MLB myself. He’s done it and quite well in Houston. Then rotate Foye, Riley, and Richards at WLB

Sounds familia. Albeit two of them are in their second year, we’ve done it before. Aint no thang to do it again.
