Jalen Ramsey calls Matt Ryan overrated

594 posts in this topic

HOF caliber QBs call Ryan elite and it gets nowhere near the attention this inflammatory comment of a guy who has never played vs Matt does. This board is drawn to stupidity. Lol.

He only expresses this thinking that Ryan got worse statistically last year; true but not his own personal regression being far below the MVP year, so comparing the stats to Jimmy G in SF with Kyle suddenly so he gives Shanny all credit.

You’re not the judge. Just a simpleton trying to agitate with negative opinions.

So boring.  You’ll simply manufacture a false, negative argument to put down Ryan.

When in reality everyone with a sense of equilibrium and fairness understands we have a great QB who have proven himself worthy over time.

Your silly trolling won’t do anything to change that. End of story.

Feel free to argue until you’re blue in the face though homie.  LOL your chit is such a farce.  :D

This is just silly.  Ryan has his flaws I'll admit, but to say he was only successful because of Shanahan is stupid.  He's had success under Mularkey and Koetter.  Besides it goes both ways with Shanahan...Ryan is the most successful QB he's ever had as well.

Some people should never deconstruct what they can’t construct!

Here's the thing.  Shanahan is definitely the best coordinator Matt's ever had.  I think everyone agrees on that.

Mularkey has been garbage without Ryan.  Koetter has been mediocre at best without Ryan. And Shanahan had his best year with Ryan.

Now look at the other top qbs.  Brees has been in the same system since Sean Payton.  Brady has been in the same system his entire career.  Rodgers...same system whole career.

Eli has changed systems multiple times. Roethlisberger has changed systems once.  Both were followed by a bad year.

Don’t confuse my delusional agenda with your reality binding context. I exist beyond your realm. Mere mortal.

I'm convinced we have the worst fans.  This offseason sealed it for me.

Just when you thought we couldn’t do any worse than the “Ryan contract needs to be done but now we hate him for it rip salary cap” and then the “Julio holdout” nonsense blah blah...now?

”fans” supporting a baseless claim against Ryan that is from someone that differs in opinion with far more respected players of the same position.

Are you seriously trying to argue that  Ryan is a mediocre QB who just had one great year?

And WCO is the perfect offense for Ryan, he should have been in it from year one.

He just argued that Ryan can’t play in other schemes when facts say otherwise. Dude is trolling.

Of course he is. Just amused watching him try to make mountains out of molehills of facts.

And Matt looked bad after Shanny left. What's your point?

I’ll bite...hard. The offense looked bad in specific areas. There’s some reason as to why Sark has been the focal point of hate since last year.

Matt’s personal numbers were hurt more by an unusually high number of drops and receiver caused INTs. However, his own play was still his usual superb play; even if not quite the MVP level.

Please ignore that Matt played quite well in multiple systems before Kyle. Divisive people want others to choose sides in an arena of bipolar.

Fact is Kyle looked far better than at any other point in his career here while Matt simply took that next step. Kyle never had an offense threaten NFL records. Matt is on pace to be among the alltime greats and already is there and beating some categories. He built that foundation before Shanny ever got here. Next.

Kyle? We’ll see what he does with the job Matty helped him get. Hopefully he doesn’t flicker out like the other OCs turned HCs Ryan helped produce. I like his chances to succeed though. Only wish Ryan had the luxury of the ease of one system his career like many other QBs with brilliant OC minds.

When last I checked Brady, Brees etc being surrounded by well-known offensive geniuses their entire careers and simply asked to show up each year wasn’t a knock on them...but Matt shows he can be an MVP with his best OC to date and it’s used against him? It helps Matt’s Case immensely having succeeded in so many systems at the NFL level.

Troll or simply ignorant at best. Get rekt dude. Lol.

Does he know what schemes are? Lol

But he can quote stat lines and show differences in basic math, yet invalidate figures that don’t support his agenda. Almost like a politician the spineless posturing and flopping back and forth. Can’t stay behind one point if the context is called out and won’t respond to reasoning that expose him. Delusional at least. Almost narcissistic.

how can you not see that he is ??? Stats aren’t everything. The man has elite ball skills and high IQ. They dont have to, Trufant never had the best numbers, yet he was still top 5

Same logic back at you regarding Ryan. His MVP year he was near flawless but last year he PERSONALLY wasn’t as far away from MVP season as the fall off with our receivers dropping passes/creating INTSs, lack of interior OL in our last 1/3 of season and no FB to speak of. Ryan graded out as the 2nd best QB last year tied with Brees. Pick up a couple those teammate created turnovers and you suddenly have more drives to score some points. He’d have easily matched Brees stat line; sans the completion % because that’s Brees best trait. Ryan isn’t far behind the best at that, though.

My point is that RG3 looked bad even when he was with Shanny in his 2nd season.

Shanny hasn't had a QB to the level of Ryan either. Both Ryan and Shanny benefited from the QB/OC pairing.

No one was saying that Shanny was the best offensive mind in football until he was paired with Ryan. Just like Ryan never played to that historic level of efficiency until he was paired with Shanny.

Nah, Brady would've done better here last year by far...not. He'd be coming into a WCO from this system under a first year NFL coordinator and playcaller:

His entire career.

So which is it? Shanny is the reason Matt was terrible and good? Yes?

Nah, good stats are credited to Shanny and bad stats to Ryan. Simple. Not biased or partial at all. :)

Ok, the WR's dropped passes and Matt threw 3 interceptions in the Saints game alone. What's your point? What dude said was that Shanny's scheme made him an MVP and took us to a Super Bowl. Without that, he's been getting praise for......staying healthy? Have winning back to back seasons? Overrated. Don't see the lie.

lol wow, This is the reason why people don't take falcons fans seriously. lol

Changing subjects just a bit, the Jags are a run first team. I'm still not sure why they hang on to Bortles, nevertheless, this will be a good test for the Falcon front four and LBs. They run a lot of screens so it'll be interesting how the Falcons cover that.

Ramsey can talk all he wants but the Jags DBs cannot cover the Atlanta Arsenal. The only hope is pressure on Ryan and if there is game planning in this third game, short passes will set them up for deep throws.
