Article I Wrote About Training Camp Standouts

12 posts in this topic

Check it out. I live very far from GA so going to the practices and seeing them firsthand is out of the question, but reading what some of you guys have seen and tweets about the Red-White game helped me put this one together. It's a beeyatch to do this sports writing thing while every team on my beat is in the offseason, lol. Anyway, thoughts on the writing and team analysis are always appreciated.

Also forgot to throw this one about Julio re-signing up on the boards after it got published, but I'm not gonna make a whole new thread about it since that's old news now.

Nice summary of position battles.

So how does the sports writer industry work - do you get a flat fee or do they pay you a royalty by clicks?  Always curious how the sites get their content.

So this is an unpaid internship for me currently, just trying to get as much stuff out there as I can for now. Getting paid off of writing in general is tough so for me right now it's just about hoping the right people stumble upon my stuff.

I thoroughly enjoyed the whole 'artical!' Very informative, very entertaining, well written and the points you emphasized were worthy. Liked you were astute enough to mention Jack Crawford emerging and getting recognized by Quinn for his work. Crawford is going to be a very important part of that DL rotation and has flown mostly under the radar this off-season.

I don't know how much time you put in to writing that, but it was as professional as profesh can get without actually getting paid for it. Keep building your resume with this kind of quality writing and you certainly will start getting paid soon.
