The coverage by Poole here actually isn't that bad. Julio is just really that good.

You're right Poole didn't do that bad. Great pass and catch. But I think we need to be more realistic with our looks in practice. What NB/CB is ever going to have Julio one on one in the red zone? Maybe 2-3 guys in the entire league?

I like that we're considering Ridley as a returner. Other teams have no problem putting their very best and most valuable athletes back there. Especially in crucial situations. Antonio Brown is an example. Deion Sanders was probably the most valuable DB in the league yet often returned kicks and punts.

Your return guy does not have to be a specialist. You can't win playing scared. Get the guy back there who has the best chance to score.

Great coverage up until the fact he doesn't get his head around. Something I don't see out of our backs very much of at all

But he got his hands up at the correct time so he was reading Julio's eye and movement, I thought it was really good coverage

I did too, I said it was great coverage. Bhut getting hands up aren't the same as gettin g your head around. Especially if you're against the boundaries. Seen it plenty during the season where we do t even get our hands up, let alone heads around. Which not only can generate pics and deflections. But keeps you from getting a flag if you do make contact. Just wish I saw us coach that more
