Love it, but he HAS to find a way to cut down on these turnovers. He needs to be sitting at a better than 2:1 assist to turnover ratio, and he hasn't done it all year due to the 4+ turnovers he throws away every night.

I think Rookie of the Month for January is his. 18.7 PPG 7.6 APG .444 FG% .337 3FG% .864 FT% (Taking care of the ball is next on his list to work on).

It would also be nice, though, if some of his teammates (no Collins) did a better job of holding on to passes or being in the right place. Not saying it doesn't happen to all players, but there are many times where he makes a perfect dish that gets fumbled or where a player makes the wrong cut, with the TO going to him. jayu70, Mr.11, Drew4719 and 1 other

tl;dr 9,282
Man we've got ourselves a couple of future stars and maybe even a few superstars. Hopefully the Mavs suck a little more, but not enough to get a top 5 pick. Would be a dream come true if we got 1 and 6 lol. therawest, Drew4719 and jayu70

And that's why he was drafted. This stuff is hard to teach, especially if a player doesn't have any concept of how to anticipate openings and player movement. I imagine it takes years for players to develop that kind of basketball acumen to make a pass like that on a consistent basis, and many never get it. Trae was doing it from day 1. therawest

That pick will be in the mid to high teens. That's OK though. We drafted Collins and Huerter at 19.

They indeed traded for Porzingis, but he likely won't be playing for them this year according to Cuban here

That's 37 ppg, 19 rpg and 9 apg that Hardaway and Lee won't be able to replace. Cuban may be planning to tank his way back into that Top 5 pick.

Yep, they will definitely be a team to watch as they can't sink below 6th-worst or else, as we all know, we wont get their 1st round pick this year and will have to try again in 2020 (in which they will almost assuredly be better with a healthy Porzingis teamed up with Doncic). I can see the Mavs sliding quite a bit the rest of the season, let's just hope that they've banked enough wins to stave that off. Right now, raw draft order (before the lottery balls) looks like this: (11) Dallas Mavericks 23-28 (10) New Orleans Pelicans 23-29 (9) Detroit Pistons 22-28 (8) Washington Wizards 22-29 (7) Orlando Magic 21-31 (6) Memphis Grizzlies 20-33 ------------------------------- (5) Atlanta Hawks 16-35 (4) Chicago Bulls 12-40 Pelicans are destined to slide without a healthy Unibrow. Heck, he may even get his trade demand honored. So that helps us. Detroit has been playing .500 ball lately, so they may leapfrog some teams. Wizards are trying for a playoff push, and may very well get it by riding Beal's Wheels until they come off. Orlando isn't very good. Memphis is just awful. I could easily see us switch places with them in the standings before season is over. If Mavs go on a sizable losing streak, it could present a problem for us in getting their pick this year - especially if Orlando and Memphis decides to play competent basketball (I doubt it, but who knows).
