William Andrews should have held out for more money.

That was his rookie season and a third round blocking back from Thomasville and played at Auburn. He didn’t prove his worth until he joined the Falcons.   So he didn’t have much bargaining power

He ran all over Valdosta High when he was a Senior at Thomasville High.  A beast!!!

In 1979 my salary was... uh... Ice cream in a sugar cone.

Maybe even the ice cream man driving through the neighborhood.

Mines was diapers and half eaten chicken bones....u need a hood understanding to get that...

Tim Mazzetti @ $45K in 1979. Lets' roll. My man!

I was making $1.65/hr  at a work study job.

TMZ in 1978 = "Plowing" the field, slamming busch lights then crushing them on his forehead!    Just an all around Rockstar.

My 1979 salary was $1.75 per hour plus tips.  I was a carhop at Old Hickory Barbeque in Lawrenceville.

The biggest payday I had there was one summer Saturday.  I worked from 11am to 10pm.  We

were very busy and I hustled the entire time.  I went home with $38 in my pocket.  I thought I was rich.

Which in today's NFL is close to league minimum.. Andrews was one he!! of a running back.

It's already been pointed that was Andrews rookie year salary for a 3rd round pick. So it's right in line with today's 3rd round picks when adjusted for inflation.
