Folks in here wanted us to trade for him in offseason.....I predicted he would be released.

Still not sure I want him, just get in the way of younger guys like Oluokun development....

Agreed. ........ I want to see the battle 'tween Oluokum and Riley.

Resign Jake and who else to generate some cash?

Like I had mentioned in the Julio thread, they could do something like convert $9 million of Julio's salary to a bonus and give him some up front money and more job security.

That would open up $6 million this year.

I think we would like to sign him. I just think he'll pick a team offering him more snaps. He's a no brainier upgrade(3rd LB) over Riley and the rookie. But I don't see us benching Campbell so that he can be on the field all game. With Poe it was the opposite, he knew he'd get every opportunity here to earn a big payday.

yeah but getting ANYTHING then would be better than nothing now.....

I guess that gives us some idea of his market value.  Teams didn't want to give up anything to take on his contract, which would have been $5.8 million for this year and then would basically be a team option for $6.8 million next year.

Guessing 1 year, $4 million is about his number.

This would allow Campbell to move back to SLB. I doubt it happens because we are money strung but he is an obvious upgrade over Duke and in coverage he is better than Campbell although I like Campbell's tenacity more. That said.....If he wants to play for a contender and in a 4-3 defense he can take a smaller deal to do so.

Falcons have been needing to grab a lot of things lately.......

The Biggest Reason Atlanta Should Sign Kendricks is he can walk into the locker room with a Superbowl Ring on his Finger and show em what it's all about!

I don't think that's how that works.
