Beasley and McKinley will very likely both put up between 8-12 sacks this year if they stay healthy.  Reed and Campbell may see some more pass rush snaps as well.  We will be just fine without Clayborn.

Fascinating how everything evens out over time....2016 he had an abnormal high sack rate based on pressures......last year it was low statistically......

I'm looking for 9-10 sacks out of Beasley this year.....

Can't even remember the last time that the Falcons had bookend pass rushers, thought they were going to have it with Kerney and Abe, then Kerney got hurt.

We get around 20 sacks from Takk and Bease and this D takes a leap forward, if Senat comes on quick, may finally be able to generate a consistent pass rush from the front four. That would be fun.

I think Grady is ready to break out too. Predicting 6-8 sacks from him this season.

Makes me smile, Quinn has just about got this defense where he wants it. Adding Oliver makes the secondary just that much more stingy. Going to be difficult to move the ball through the air on this team, and the offense should play well enough that you have to throw it to keep up.

This team is set up for a nice 3-5 year run, maybe longer if Ryan plays well into his 40s [he's said he wants to play for 20 years] or they find a new QB.

How is Clayborn replaced by Senat or McClain?

Clayborn's snaps right now will have to be filled by more Takk, more Beasley, and more Brooks Reed. Real question is who will fill the snap's that were previously Takks?

Clayborn got 555 snaps.

Beasley 483  (missed 2.5 games too)

Reed 412

Takk 401

Shelby 396

Pretty sure these 4 guys can quite easily combine for another 555 snaps.  Takk and Beasley should be in the 600-700 range just by themselves.

We’re probably also adding one of JT Jones, JTM, Winbush, or Cherridor as well.

Yeah, if both Takk and Beasley are at 700 snaps, that's 500 of the Clayborn snaps taken up. Which is what I should have put in OP instead of McClain replacing  the  Clayborn snaps.

You're right, and Wes played more snaps than Mack. We should just let him be our C and cut Mack!! It'll save money!!

It's not juat the value of playing more snaps but outplaying your colleagueand producing 40% more passes defensed and significantly more effective tackles, TFLs, and 4th down causing tackles, than your. I don't think your comparison is fair to any degree. Anyone that thinks Trufant earned more money than Alford last season is.just riding on his past performance and potential. Alford is clearly more valuable. Also did Wes have 15% more snaps on offense, and 30+% more snaps on ST? Your comparison is silly.

Kerney and Brady were prob the last 2 true bookends that got production. Hall/Claridge in the late 90s. We never got the bookend for Abe, which makes his production here that much more impressive. We got too complacement with Bierman's motor and never upgraded.
