All the Falcons biggest matchups this year just happen to be road games.

Good.  We play just fine on the road, and truth is we have no homefield advantage because hometown fans are lousy.

Not looking forward to Philly in week 1 in Philly smh

Honestly I would rather get them week 1 then later in the year...weather being one factor...the other being that they have had a lot of turnover it may take us less time to get gelling than it will for them.  They are not the same team they were last year and with it being first game we will already have Julio along with most of the team fully healthy hopefully.  Works better in our favor IMO.

Turns out we play the Packers in December of course

That makes this, what, 3 or 4 times straight we've played them in December whenever we go there?

Been a while since the Falcons ended the season on the road. Ugh! I hate that but it is what it is.

LOL, the 49ers at Packers in week 1 if that's true. The 49ers opened the season against an NFC North (or Central back then) team on the road in 1981 (at Lions), 1984 (at Lions), and 2012 (at Packers) and ended up going to the Super Bowl those years. However, the 49ers always went to the Super Bowl the following year after the Falcons opened the season against a NFC North/Central team on the road the previous year Falcons at Vikings 1980 (Week 1) >> 1981 49ers; Falcons at Bears 1983 (Week 1) >> 1984 49ers; Falcons at Buccaneers 1987 (Week 1) >> 1988 49ers; Falcons at Lions 1988  (Week 1) >> 1989 49ers; Falcons at Lions 1993 (Week 1) >> 1994 49ers; Falcons at Bears 2011 (Week 1) >> 2012 49ers; Falcons at Bears 2017 >> (???). Now this didn't happen every time. In 1994 and 1997 the Falcons opened the season on the road against the Lions and it ended up being the Cowboys in the Super Bowl in 1995 and the Falcons in the Super Bowl in 1998 (which is good). That also didn't apply in 2003 either after the Falcons opened against the Packers on the road in 2002.

The 49er's 2018 schedule is nearly identical to 2012 the last time they went to the Super Bowl playing all of the same NFC North teams home & away and their own division of course, except instead of AFC East teams it's the AFC West teams, and since the 2014 Seahawks 3 out of the last 4 teams in the Super Bowl played the AFC West (including us). Since the 2015 Panthers the team out of the NFC who went to the Super Bowl was 8-8 or worse the previous season. The 49ers were 6-10 in 2017 with a strong finish. They won in Green Bay in week 1 in 2012 which set up their Super Bowl season. So it's important if they get Green Bay on the road in week 1 for 2018.

So basically no big games on our schedule currently favor us.

Yes, none of them favor us. Any NFL team would Slaughter us posters on the board!
