I've seen him predicted all over the place. NFL.com I think has him as 3-4. I've seen other reports that view him as fringe Day 1 pick. I've also seen some that have him in the 5th or later. I think it depends on whether you believe his pass rush ability will translate. I personally think it will.

You were right

There's this too:

Senat is more than just a strong guy at the point of attack. He’s the big guy that also has some initial quickness to penetrate. One of the things that I notice with big defensive lineman is whether they are finishers. Senat is a finisher.

A lot of the big guys are able to disrupt plays, make the QB move off of his spot, make a runner change direction, etc. Not a lot of them have the athleticism and football IQ to be in the right spot, track the ball and then finish when they get close. They’re in pursuit of people who are faster than them, and it’s tough. Senat put himself in those positions and has the burst to finish plays. That’s how a defensive tackle ends a season with 66 tackles.

You rock mate!!! Great call!! What metrics did you apply to call this one soo early lol?!!

Are you an Falcons insider?!!

I don't watch a ton of college ball so in the off-season I just spend a good bit of time watching a lot of different players. I try to watch just about everyone at Falcons' positions of need. I saw a few clips of him and was impressed. Especially since the buzz was nonexistent. Got me to dig more and find everything I could. I ended up getting hyped and just made the post to see if anyone else agreed. So glad that Quinn and TD agreed, I think we got a high floor, high ceiling player.

DANG!  Didn't know much about him at the pick, but it looks like pure football minds were all over him!!

This includes OP;)  Nice call AA...

A lot of people don't understand how difficult it is for taller OL players to handle shorter very powerful DT's. The knock on Grady was his height. Grady uses his height as an advantage against much taller lineman. Weight wise...they are very close. It's very tiring for a taller guy to try  and keep pad height with a shorter guy for leverage reasons.

I played RT back in the day.

The smaller faster DEs kicked my arse.

I took up fishing.

LOL......it's really hard. I was a Defensive tackle and those short running backs woulddrived me nuts. LOL.....I was able to get pad high but that's what it took when they come full speed through the line. It was a challenge. But I'm only 6'1 myself.

Third

GREAT PICK! Dude is violent!

After checking out his highlights, I also realize he has enough potential to be a good pass rusher. He was not only collapsing the pocket many times but he also displayed enough suddenness to beat his guy. If only he played with a decent secondary, most of those QB hits might have translated to sacks.:slick:
