stizz
I can tell you if a team doesn't like you, you don't have an in with the team to break news. Schefter/Rapoport have ins with agents/teams to break the news on meetings and signings. Vaughn simply doesn't.

I would love for MR2 to take a hometown discount. But it's hard to do when you see lesser qbs getting massive contracts... He should sign for 1 dollar more than Stafford just for bragging rights over his bff

That would have allowed the Falcons to sign the top OL's and DL' in Free Agency. In turn, that would have allowed the Falcons to draft BPA. Had he done that, he would have a better chance of winning a championship. And that would mean bragging rights for life.

Has happened to many. Can't disagree with their views, meanwhile those who like to type (and shout) the loudest are seen as right, even if/when they are not so. It seems in Vaughn's case, the lack of a Chicago connection to stories was hurting his Falcons output? The best combination question for the two would be: is a hot dog a sandwich in Chicago or Atlanta, both or neither? Argh, off-season blues. Bring on the schedule so we have something to look forward to!
Roy Munson
Vaughn is awful, but he's better than David Newton. That guy thinks Carolina is the best at everything, and he hates the Falcons almost as much as Vaughn does.

I've heard the whole Brady thing, but he's married to a super rich woman that has a business empire of her own. M.R. needs one of those but he married for love. I think someone is lost on what the point of an agent is. MR doesn't have the time to go through the hundreds of pages of legal jargon that accompany a hundred million+ dollar service contract. That is what an agent does. He takes all that b.s. off of his plate so he can focus on football. Also M.R. wants to make sure he doesn't sign a Freeman type of contract which benefits us much more than it does Freeman. We can save money cutting Freeman after this season. RYan is 33 and he knows what can happen during a 5 or 6 year contract. This is not intended for you but the guy you were responding to. And I'm asking about the agent because of recent events with my realtor. Technically I call the shots but I know he wants to make as much on the house he is selling because that means more for me. I'd assume it's the same with sports agents in general but I'm sure their contracts are exponentially more nuanced than a home sale.
Osiruz
I don't see anything wrong with what McClure is saying and he is usually on the money with his reporting. I think he wants the falcons to save money. Sounds good to me.
