Teams that plays us. Their QBs seem to have eternity and then some when we play them. Ex. Jay Cutler.

Lol yeah when we need a sack the most QB's get alll day in the pocket..especially in the playoffs.

Yet we were top 10 in the NFL in QB pressures. And didn’t we hold the #1 offense in the NFL Rams to 13 points and the SB winners to 15 points? (would of been less if Neal gets that interception)

No we had a good pass rush last year I'm not in opposition to that. But how many times have you seen them get close to sacking the QB but end up falling right at his feet lol? I'm not even trying to debate right now hence my lax tone.

Right. Jay Cutler picked us apart cause he literally took naps on us out there. Then next week, he throws 3-4 Ints from being pressured.

Y’all gotta stop assuming Fusco is automatically starting. Wes is the incumbent and there will be a 4 player battle between Wes, Fusco, Garland, and Harlow. Y’all hated Chester on a good line. He and Wes battled to the end for that position. Wes started rough and got better as the season wore on. He was not the hole some are portraying him to be. He was the weakest on the line yes. But so was Chester. It’s rare a first year starter kills it. Mack’s rookie year wasn’t a roses. Abe killed a young Joe Thomas. ASKED Smitty to put him on joes side. We can draft an OG in the first round and he still have a rough go of it. Just gotta stop assuming 1st Round means the player is plug n play. There are more 1st Round Busts than 5th Round wash outs.

Nobody can draft experience. But you have to be willing to play your young and let them gain experience. We have one of the most experienced young teams in the nfl. No why?? Because we drafted well and started 4 rookies and they all have playoff and SB EXPERIENCE!!

That was the most infuriating game last season. My disdain for certain players has yet to have died down from that game.

Matt Ryan is a better athlete than Brady.  Brady is the slowest QB to ever be tested at the combine.  Matt Ryan's 24 sacks were most likely produced from much more pressure.

Though Brady has the best pocket presence in the league. Arguably top 5 all time.

Jay didn’t really pick us apart. He dinked and dunked us to death. It’s hard to get to a qb that gets rid of the ball fast. The ISSUE was Ajai. If they stopped him cutler wouldn’t have done what he did. Playaction was working and the run wore down the defense. Yet we STILL picked cutler off and it was over turned because Jarrett was so frustrated he hit Jay late. That was the game right there. Nobody takes naps on ya bro. It’s either we pressure the sh*t out of them or they dink and dunk is death. The final score was 20-17 so it ain’t like they just beat the sh*t out of us. Ajai was the issue. Not cutler. That int that was negated was the game winner for us.

All that is cool and it looked good. The real is he dinked and dunked us to death and his wr’s got yac. It’s a totally different game if we stopped Ajai. Cutler didn’t throw one bomb so it ain’t like he was just killing our secondary. He’d hit a guy on a short pass. Riley would miss a tackle and he would gain 20 yards. We had so many missed tackles that game it’s a d@mn shame. That’s the real story of that game. It’s like when Matt had 500 yards against carolina. Julio took a short pass and took it to the house. That’s the same type of stuff jay was killing us with. Short passes. But even then ajai did the real damage.

and another Day 3 draft pick I bet

I also wouldn't be surprised to see us take a TRUE OT on Day 2

We're talking about pressure.  Look at this and tell me how many times Cutler was pressured.

There's typically a reason players hit free agency. Either the team has too much already invested and the player being let go isn't priority (Calais Campbell), he's got his best years behind him (Richard Sherman), he has an attitude (too many to name), or there are health concerns (Sherman, Mathieu). My point is that there is an opportunity lost for every transaction that a team makes and each team has to determine whether another team's (relative) trash is its treasure.

We have a good football team. We've made the playoffs two years in a row. My question is a relatively weak effort of signing a tight end, offensive or defensive line help, etc. While other teams target their FA signings with their needs, we plug holes with cheap help. I can only hope they are serviceable because draft players are usually 2-3 down the road before they gain the experience needed.I know the salary cap is a problem. We are not the only team battling salary cap. The tight end FA we just signed only blocks. He averages 10 catches a year. The new OG appears no better than what we have. Hope I am wrong but the improvements appear to be offset by what we lost.

So, would you rather have a rookie Julio Jones or a veteran Mike Jenkins?

A rookie Deion Jones or a veteran Paul Worrilow?
