Why are people thinking Josh Sweat makes it past the 2nd round???

Much less the 4th or even 6th??

You guys realize Sweat plays for FSU, is 6'4 250, ran a 4.53, and had 53 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and 5.5 sacks?

He's going in the 2nd round.  At the very worst, the beginning of round 3, but even that's a stretch.

Dude if that draft played out I’d run naked through the woods and die of exposure

Says you. I am not satisfied with it. i didn't know I had to be satisfied with the Oline because other people are.

Just unlikely we make a move for OL in the draft without a subsequent deletion. I wouldn't be upset with an OL move either. Just doesn't seem likely. Playing the probabilities only. :tiphat:

LT: Matthews | Sombraillo

LG: LeVitre | Garland

C: Mack | Garland | Fusco

RG: Fusco | Schweitzer

RT: Schraeder | Pazstor

PS: Harlow, Douglas

Why do we need to draft an OL?

We need multiple DT's, DE, OLB, TE, FB, and KR/PR.  We're 2-3 deep on OL right now with 5 set starters and solid backups at each position.

I don't know where he will go. This draft is only if everything broke right. He is projected where I have him.

I know who the Falcons offensive line is. You think the line is OK. I don't. Listing the names for me isn't going to change my mind since I am not impressed at all with the guards. I mean at the very least the depth completely suck, and since the OLine get hurt, and if 1 does, which will most likely happen, the Oline will suffer big time.

What were you thinking man?

I'm pretty certain Josh Sweat is a 2nd round pick, and because of how well PJ Hall dominated in the E/W Shrine Game, I believe he's moved up to the early 5th.

However, since we don't have a 5th round pick, I've selected him at our late 4th.

And the reason I'm selecting our TE in the 7th is because I believe Gesicki, Goedert, and Andrews will be gone by our pick 58, and Hayden and Thomas will be gone by 90, but not good enough to pick at 58.  Plus, I know how good Jeb Blazevich really could be.  He can block, run good routes, and has good hands.  He just got extremely under-utilized at UGA because of the system.  He's a gem though, I promise.

This is my mock draft: (posting it here because it's very similar to KoG's.

1-26: DT Da'Ron Payne

2-58: DE Josh Sweat

3-90: WOLB Malik Jefferson

4-126: DT/NT PJ Hall

6-200: FB Dimitri Flowers

7-244: KR/PR Quadree Henderson

7-256: TE Jeb Blazevich

Still, this isn't about all that. Its if it all went as the projections are. I made sure to say that to avoid this discussion in particular.

We had a top-5 ranked OL corps last year, and that was with Schweitzer being terrible, and Garland stepping in for a hurt LeVitre for a few games.

PFF even ranked us the 2nd best OL.  https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-ranking-all-32-offensive-lines-from-the-2017-nfl-season

Matt only took 24 sacks and 148 total pressures.  That was the 5th fewest pressures allowed.  And only 10 QB's took less sacks, which was only a difference of 6 from #1 to Matt at #10.

Fusco is an upgrade over Schweitzer.  An OL that most pundits already believe is top-5 actually improved.

So yeah, whatever.
