DogIsYourName
Let's be honest, the Falcons are not going to make any big moves in free agency. All we need to do is get another OG, another DT, and pick a WR prospect in the draft. Other than that, we are trying to keep cap space open for several players. The main ones are Matt Ryan, Jake Matthews, Grady Jarrett, Deion Jones, and maybe Vic Beasley. I see us plugging a few holes with average journeymen players that won't make many headlines. We're essentially trading out dudes like Clayborne for more dudes like him that didn't get a 6 sack game last year.
Malachore
If you think we only need another DT on the line then you fell and hit your head.

ROMERO
Falcons never said they were going to be big players in free agency. our last big name was Mack. Everyone wants us to get the big names that will kill our cap for years to come. Clayborn might come back you never know.
D.B.N.
Our DL is super thin. We can’t fill every need in the draft. We need to make a fuggin move. This whole “Falcons ain’t enamored with FA class” rhetoric is a load of horse shyt.

That's a lot to get done through the draft...especially if you want them to be starter...good starters since we're in a super bowl run. andrews31cain21
So... we are losing 2 out of 3 of our best DL, and apparently have no plans to replace them.... hopefully there is a master plan we dont know about
Butudontseeme™
Clayborn is being replaced by Takk and Crawford combo. Aside from the feel good story, Clayborn is a slightly above average DE/pass rushing specialist. Not demeaning the guy at all but it is not a big loss if he signs elsewhere. Poe is another story. His loss will be felt if he’s not adequately replaced or resigned.

Reed and Clay are close. Clay also has an injury history. Not to mention until he signs somewhere else he could come back. It is not uncommon nor a guarantee a player changes teams when he gets to test the market.
DMT11
We will replace Poe with something similar there's no way to expect decent defense without doing that

DogIsYourName
We will replace Poe with something similar there's no way to expect decent defense without doing that I really don't see us doing much. All the stories about Hooper make me think we've decided against spending on an impact TE. Not one word about Suh, so I don't see how we're going to replace Poe with "something similar." There aren't any other "similar" DTs available. I think we'll get serviceable cheap dudes for all these spots, then try to get a WR and best available in the draft. The good news is even a serviceable OG will help compared to last year. Matty Ice didn't give us any hometown discount. So we blew our budget on the master suite and now can only afford average stuff in the other rooms. Yes there are some similar run stuffing guys available, Logan, Jones and a few others, we will not neglect the position in the draft either and this is a very nice def tackle draft

They're adding not subtracting then saying "well the guy we already have can cover for him"

1989Fan
You have never seen rookies go from part time year one to a full time player year two? If Takk gets more snaps, they gotta come from someone else. Takk replaces Clay as the starter and someone else will replace Takk as the depth. Pretty common TBH. Geaux_Falcons
People are going ape sh!t over the eagles, but aren't considering the fact that the Eagles are over the cap, and have weak linebackers and an average at best secondary. They are going to let their best LB walk. On top of that, they let a quality piece of their offense walk, and the #2 WR was traded. They're literally gambling that Agholor will take a big leap to replace both of those guys.

You stunt his development by continuing to trot out Clayborn in situations where Takk should be playing. Replacing production is not the same as replacing a body. Takk and Crawford as well as any other DE we bring in should replace if not surpass ACs production. Again, not a slight against AC, would love to see him back, but it’s not a huge loss if he’s not resigned or replaced by a “like” player. ****, a first or second round DE prospect would be better long term than hanging onto him. My opinion is that while the falcons have opportunities to get better for sure, we still have a lot of guys coming into their own AND we don’t really know the plans for FA and/or the draft are. Moreover, I’m not really all that worried as it pertains to DQ and team building, particularly defense.
