See that’s what folks don’t understand too. You can find those kinda guys as UDFA’s. Like Shraeder. Especially the way the game is now.

Patriots ranked as 3rd best line, started 3 UDFA’s and pay them under $800,000 apiece.  Meanwhile we have 4 starters on the OL banking over $5,000,000 annually.  And people think TD & Quinn have not prioritized OL.

People are tired of seeing our team struggle to get the hard yard.

The ZBS isn’t meant to line up and punch you in the mouth.  If that’s the objective, a transition to power gap scheme is in order.

You are absolutely right. This is what used to piss me off about the Falcons offense when we had Vick. It still doesn’t change the fact that you can’t avoid critical short yardage situations and have to have guys capable of creating the creases needed to convert. I haven’t looked at the numbers, but from what I saw we just weren’t getting it done.

More of MR under center and using PA on 1st downs will net is more 1st downs & less 3rd and short.  The stats show that our running & passing game are more effective with Ryan under center and using PA.  And 1st down is a throwing down (Sark improved in this area late in the year)
