I think Michel is a much more gifted runner than TeCo.

If we are being honest, TeCo goes down easily, has mediocre vision and doesn't make defenders miss (no shiftiness). His game is purely based on using his speed to get to the edge. I like the guy, but he's one dimensional and greatly overrated around here. I truly dont get the hate Free has gotten around here lately, especially considering he's clearly a better, more polished back than TeCo (Who has been getting nothing but love).

I think you are selling TeCo short but I agree Free is much more complete back. I do see a lot of similarly with Sony. TeCo is also a great receiver. Sony could be really good, but I don’t see him as a complete back either.

Let's not forget Teco, much like Roddy, led the NCAA in his prospective category his last year. I just want to see what he could do with 16 games as the starter and Ward backing him up. Freeman is an AMAZING receiving threat and Colemans strait line speed is guaranteed to put up big numbers every few games, BUT, if we were to solidify our Oline, Freeman's shiftiness could rock the NFL.

Coleman: Quick to the hole and rarely gets stopped in the backfield unless running outside, then it's 50/50.

Freeman: Hesitant on picking his running lane and gets stopped behind the line WAAAAY too often but man if he gets a hole LOOOK OUUUT. His ability to make defenders miss is exciting.

Ward: Very decisive and patient upon handoff, RARELY gets stopped in backfield and picks up mini chunks every other carry. If this dude were to get substantial carries in a season, we'd have some controversy.

Im honestly not crazy about any one back but IMO Freeman will be done by 2020. He gets concussed waaay to often.

There's no way we draft a back in the second round when we need help on both sides of the line, wide receiver and tight end.

I’m a BPA guy.  If Guice is there in the 2nd & he fills a need, we can draft DT in the 1st, OG in the 3rd and we are fine. Pull up Pro Bowl rosters for the last decade and notice where most OL were drafted.  Or if we keep Poe we can draft WR in the first...but outside of Kirk I just don’t see it

Dude I know folks who would take all kinds of advantage of you.  You'd take a 2nd for Coleman?????   A 2nd rounder is a high upside project like Jalen Collins or a gimmick receiver like Turbo, not a proven NFL RB with a pretty impressive stat line (as good or better than Freeman's on average) and low miles.

Both have a career average of 4.3 yds per carry, Coleman gets 12.2 yds per catch vs Free's 8.2.  People perceive Free to be better as he is on the field more.   Coleman has a lot of flat runs but he also has a lot of  big gainers but in my observation, this is only true when he is the B-back.   When he is the A-back, his stat line is just as ,if not better, than Free's.

There is no RB in FA or in the draft that I would take in the 2nd for over Coleman plus wit Free having been concussed so much, we'd be fools to part with Teco right now/

If a team outside of the NFCS inquired about a trade for Coleman i would definitely listen. Freeman is gonna get the bulk of the caries anyway. To me it would make sense to trade him now and draft his replacement this season. That way it would be 4 years before you have to worry about paying another RB.

Would hate to loose Coleman too, but I agree with you. There are some good runners in this draft.

FF to week 6 of 2018 season. Freeman suffered ANOTHER concussion in week 4 and we haven't broke 40yds rushing since he went down....I can't imagine TATF with EEEEE ERYONE saying "Bla blah we shoulda kept Teco "

Sad to say, but I think Freeman getting another concussion is very probable. You may not be able to keep Teco, but you definitely have to have somebody who can step in and make some consistent, above-average ypc for you. I just don't think that guy is Terron Ward.

He's good backup, but I just don't ever see him as a starter.

**I'd trade Free for a 1st if I could a suitor. Having both is a waste** I would take that 2nd and combine it with a 3rd to move higher in the 2nd rnd, then take our 1st and that 2nd to move higher into 1rst. Then see if I could find an Antonio Brown. We can survive with Free and Ward until we can't. I would also ask for a 4rth. Let Quinn figure it out.....that's what we pay him to do. A better receiver will benefit us more than having 2 starters and a good 3rd at RB.

(Ward) Innocent until proven guilty = He's pretty good until he proves he sucks.

Honestly I posted about this subject a few months back because of this situation.  I would not want to see this arise when it could be avoided.  We need to keep Coleman as long as possible.  I also feel that if we can pay Tru ans Alford, we should be able to at least make a substantial offer to Coleman and keep them both especially since we don't know what we are gonna get if we draft someone again.  We lucked out getting TC and might have had something going with Hill but that never amounted to anything.  I think if we DO end up trading Tevin, that we should draft his replacement this year and get him in the rotation, but be sure that we keep him the whole 2018 season and possibly reup him for one more year until the end of 2019 if he is willing.  I know its not likely but hey its nice to consider.
