Um if you dont see the difference in the parties now then I don't know what to tell you. Call me when dems nominate a Trump like figure on the left that insights race riots and openly mocks the accountability of law and advocates violence against the media.

Trumps actions and words and the way the entire GOP covers for him has shown more than ever that both sides are not the same.

If you are like a few of us here and truly concerned with US imperialism, mass surveillance, mass incarceration, and the drug war,  then you have seen very little difference between Democrat and Republican administrations. Just because Obama is much more charming and likable while he's vaporizing women and children with drones, or spying on US citizens doesn't mean that I see a real difference between the two.

Last week Trump bragged that the Japanese Prime Minister nominated him for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Now the truth surfaces:

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe nominated U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize last autumn after receiving a request from the U.S. government to do so, the Asahi newspaper reported on Sunday.

Team Trump made a quiet request to the Japanese Prime Minister to nominate Donald for the Actual Genuine Nobel Peace Prize after Trump (1) threatened war with North Korea, (2) called the North Korean dictator rude names on Twitter, only to (3) cap it off with a face-to-face meeting that North Korea has been itching for decades as confirmation of their “world power” status but which has, to date, produced little in return.

And there is the Trump way!

Well I'm not going to blame the media. They are reporting on all of Trumps issues. The problem is nothing happens. That issue has more to do with the GOP not enforcing any form of law or accountability toward their own.

It's not the media's fault one side of the Government is allowing a criminal to commit crimes in broad daylight

Even if the Republicans are objectively worse, that's a lousy double standard to have given Obama's drone and immigration policies. The media can't just say "this is bigger than politics, this is allowing criminal acts in broad daylight," and just pretend forever that there's no hypocrisy on their part, especially when they're actively whitewashing Obama, GWB, Reagan, etc. in the minutes they're not giving to Trump. It makes people not like them and much of their audience without their being able to understand why.

So when America retreats and we lose agency in foreign lands, who do you blame for the atrocities committed by Russia, China, Myanmar, Saudi Arabia ?

Just to recap, the GOP sold the tax cuts as paying for themselves.  They didn't...deficits are skyrocketing as a result of them.

The GOP scheduled the tax cuts to be lower withdrawals from weekly paychecks hoping the impact would be seen before the midterms.  It didn't help with the midterms and now a lot of people are getting large tax bills because the implementation of the tax cuts was politically motivated instead of focused on good policy implementation.

Like s*** on a cold biscuit.

I feel like it speaks to the problem I'm describing that you'd immediately connect my criticism of the media with America losing global military influence.

"Corbyn is an antisemite and racist so we must form a new party for centrists!"

5 seconds later...

BO has posted it numerous times, but I've always found Rowling's charges of antisemitism particularly flat considering she created goblins with exaggerated noses as greedy bankers in her stories.

They do not realize that young voters in America are not as turned off by the word "socialist" as old as voters are.

In fact the idea of being a democratic socialist is a badge of honor to alot of young voters.

They don't care. Their entire strategy revolves around galvanizing white retirees and making it as difficult as possible for everyone else to vote.

Third Way neoliberalism is dying such a pathetic death.

From my understanding this is about Corbyn's inability to make a plan for Brexit or Back a People's vote. Also have you seen Corbyn's numbers?

Even among young voters his numbers have taken a dive. Corbyn should be crushing May and the tories, but people still prefer her to Corbyn.

Thanks for the clear distinction. And MAGA hats are for Republican Nazis and white supremacists of today. But it's true, they are not made in america.

The tiki torches will never not be funny.

I wonder what store managers were thinking when they flew off the shelves suddenly? Probably made the mistake of quadrupling the next order in anticipation of some wild trend and still have pallets of unopened boxes sitting in the back room today.
