Tom won his first SB coming in as a back up as well.

Replacing an expensive super bowl losing franchise high drafted QB in his prime.

Its all full circle now.

Counter point: Bill Belichick has 7.

Counter counter point:

The Browns fired Belichick a year after he got them their last playoff win ever.

That's crazy.

No, this is ridiculous. Foles isn't a back-up in the same way Schaub or Grayson is a back-up.

No, we need to hold off on Ryan’s extension because here are the truths gathered from football fans after tonight’s game:

1. Foles is clearly better than Wentz

2. Foles is clearly better than Brady

3. Foles might be the best ever

I already said, I'm liking this fanbase less and less.

Coaching is a big part but talent is important. Nick Foles followed one great year in NFL with a couple of subpar years. He was a backup to Case Keenum in STL/LA and was asked to be released.  He was a scrub under Jeff "QB Killer" Fisher. Look what Pederson did with Foles and Schumer with Keenum.  Both Qbs also benefited from a great OL and strong running game. They were also supported by strong veteran defense that made a play or two when most needed.

Tom Brady has 5 rings....

Counter point:

You can have back up QB beat Tom Brady if you have playmakers especially on defense and aggresive playcalling.

Because clearly we have an OL as good as Philly's; capable of keeping any QB clean for 43 attempts vs the Patriots while running at will(over 6YPC)....Oh wait, couldn't keep Ryan clean on half the attempts last years SB nor did we have the same caliber D in 2016; almost there this year. Something something apples/oranges... context failure. Etc.

Simian can run, and Schaub has a nice arm.

If I can trade both Ryan and Julio for 1st round picks?

They seem not to make the big pass and catches--in big moments like Jeffery and Foles..

I like them both, but if..I can get 2 1st round picks while.this defense is young? I"d have to listen to those calls---at least.

Julio made the big catch from Ryan in the SB last year. Then the coaches wet the bed. Philly ran the ball after the turnover and kicked the FG. Which is all we needed to do.

Where was it in 4th quarter?

2x - 2 point conversions allowed!

ZERO POINTS scored  for over QUARTER and few mins.

And pathetic play calling by H.C cost us the game.

Like you said it was the aggressive play calling. Freeman runs loses a yard. So what? Run him two more times, or Kneel. It doesn't matter. Kick the field goal. That is exactly what the Eagles did tonight in the exact same situation.

Be aggressive when it calls for it. Don't when it doesn't.

Nick Foles once posted one of the greatest single seasons a quarteback has ever had.

He ain’t a typical backup.

I think everyone is missing the obvious.. It's not about Foles being better than Ryan.. We just should have let Schaub play qb this season.. We have a backup qb too.. Solved

Yeah let's do that let the 100 mill dollar QB MVP sit on the bench and let the backup play great idea.

Send your resume into the Falcons personnel person I'm sure there's a job for you there somewhere.lol.

Nothing good will come waiting on Ryan's contract. If anything Foles winning helps our cause keeping QB salaries low as Foles increases the supply of quality QBs

Got back ups winning the Super Bowl. It’s all about coaching.

Yes, coaching, but, better players, too!!!  If MR2 had Philly's O-line, and play calling, he could have done the same thing as Foles.  Plus, their "D" made the critical plays when needed the most!!!
