Saints Great Season

18 posts in this topic

I have been saying for awhile now that the Saints were too injured to win the Super Bowl. But gotdayum, did those boys put up a fight.

Greatest draft/rookie class in recent memory and maybe of ALL-TIME.

I think we are trending up and I am looking forward to the next few seasons. Here's to an injury few seasons and another 2 Lombardis.

Yeah man, the first half of that game was going just as I expected. I could have lived with that type of whooping as opposed to...well, you know.

I wish the 4th down pass would have just fluttered to the ground, and our hopes would have died there.

I'm going to say this one time and one time only. My worst nightmare was us winning and the falcons winning only to lose the NFCCG at home to them. That would have been 1000x worse than what actually happened.

I don't even know if I'd classify that as a choke but I get your point.

It's not. A choke is a collection of failure by the group. This was one player missing his assignment. You don't choke with 4 lead changes in 3 minutes.

Choking is building a huge lead, having momentum switch, making a collection of bad calls/failures to make a play, and ultimately blowing the lead over time. If only we had an example of that recently.

Not much, how are you and your beautiful wife doing?

Shes as lovely as I am not. I’m a lucky man. And shes exceptionally lucky at the casino too, even though I see none of it. I do pay her taxes in April. Saints put a knife in my heart last Sunday.

Talk again soon...
