Trade up and get Payne. Address OG in FA.

First pick needs to be DT IMO.

honestly i don't think we need to trade up for a DT their are 4 really good ones all similar talent around our 26th pick.  Daron Payne, Christian Wilkins, Maurice Hurst, and Vita Vea all are expected to be picked between 20 to 30.  Then you also have Taven from Florida who is supposed to go around there as well.

We are in a really good spot in the draft for our biggest need their are only 2 players in this draft that if the fell to say 15 to 20 i would trade up for and thats Roquan Smith and Quenton Nelson  both ar around the 10th pick value wise so a small drop to 15 isn't unheard of because of the positions they play at LB and RG.

Old Walt has us picking a CB

falconsb_logo.gif Atlanta Falcons: Isaiah Oliver, CB, Colorado

The Falcons seemingly cut Jalen Collins for no reason, but then he was suspended. Regardless, they need a second cornerback across from Desmond Trufant. Luckily for them, they'll have several prospects at the position to choose from in the 20s.

Pick change; previously Donte Jackson, CB

Yep, that would be one of the least of my worries.  I think Poe is gone, we need a space eater DL that can rush the passer besides Grady of course.

then Vita Vea is your guy

Quite frankly, I’d be pissed unless there was something in the works to ship off Tru or Alford, and I wouldn’t love it then considering they are both known commodities.

That would be a big win if we could keep our pick and get a DT. I don't want to trade up for a LB tbh. Smith is a stud, but if we trade up, let it be for a stud at a position of need.

Remember how 3 and outs can wear out your defense. Helping the Defense stay fresh and with a line that can run block and extend drives is like drafting a great defensive player.

FA Gs man there's not really much out there so I'm not really that enthused throwing cash at a guy that really isn't much better than we have.

The only G I see in free agency worth signing is Andrew Norwell. He will probably cost 10-12 million, which i’m Completely fine with offering. We have to upgrade the OL plus I trust DQ with drafting defensive players.

You guys realize we haven’t drafted an offensive player in the first round since Julio. I think the lack of injection of talent on that side of the ball came home to roost this season.

Yep. It's time to swing the pendilum back a little. The OL needs a talent infusion. They aren't getting younger. We could use a WR too. Maybe a fullback late.

Actually that's accurate. Quinn wants to play Alford at the nickel spot in pass rushing packages... I think he'd pick off some nice passes there and outside in base.

Would rather go after an OL in FA. I think that would help us too

I agree... Im just worried about the cap... Buying great talent in FA has become expensive.

It definitely has. That's why I don't think we can go crazy FA. Just need to fill a few wholes, and move on. The G market does kind of suck this year though...

I think taking an offensive linemen makes the most sense because I think after this season Levitre’s cap hit jumps significantly and I doubt we’ll want to pay him and could use that $$$ else where.

I’d like to see a 3rd down back similar to what Faulk was for the Pats in early ‘00s picked in the mid rounds. We won’t be able to keep Coleman past his rookie deal. It’s time to start thinking about transitioning these guys if we want to be consistently good year in and out . We have to have plans to move on from guys before they leave. Patriots do this better than anyone

Yep... That's why I look at Dallas and say how did they do it? They built a great line and still paid for a defense and skill positions.

12 mill forget about him man we won't go there for that much.

Mack isn't even getting that.

They still gotta get a Matthews deal done aswell.

Not sure we are going to drop that on a G man.

TD better figure it out. We've seen teams sign players when they seem to have little to no cap room. I'm not saying break the bank in FA, but we have to fix the trenches with proven players while still trying to resign our own.
