Wow!! Tayron Guerrero! This kid is NASTY!! 97 mph fastball and a curveball that drops off the table. Just mowed down Ian Happ, Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo on strikes like it was nothing.

Houston will use a 4 man OF at times this year they used it some today. They deployed it in some Spring games to practice it.

More bad luck for Chris Sale. 6 shutout innings and had a 4-0 lead and the Rays scored 6 runs in the bottom of the 8th to win 6-4. So many games Sale had that happen to him last year.

Ty Blach and the Giants beat Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers 1-0 on a Joe Panik solo HR. It was only Panik's 3rd career HR off a LHP.

This is a crazy game.

It only took until the 2nd day of the season for MLB replay to rear it's ugly head. Tigers scored what appeared to be the game winning run. The call on the field was safe. After replaying it for over 5 minutes they changed the call to out, even though it was no where near clear, and this game will move to the 11th inning tied at 10.

MLB seriously needs to get rid of replay. They want to speed of the game? That's how. Or maybe this, if after looking at it 3 times you can't tell that the call on the field is clearly wrong, then the on field call should automatically stand. Having replays that last over 5 minutes is downright ridiculous.

Pitching on display in LA. Dodgers have 0 runs through two games. Giants pitching has held Dodgers hitters to 7 hits in 58 ABs or a .120 average. Dodgers pitching has only allowed two runs and held SF hitters to a .153 mark. Panik has two solo HRs and that's the difference. Giants won both games 1-0.

If the season was judged on only two games the Mets are going to the World Series and the Cardinals are losing 100 games. Thankfully seasons aren't made on just 2 games.

Joe Panik is the first player in MLB history to homer in two straight 1-0 wins for his team.

Ohanti with a great outing in his Angels pitching debut today. 6 innings and 3 runs. The 3-runs was a 3-run HR in the 2nd inning.

I watched most of his start. FB that was 96-100 consistently, a splitfinger, and other offerings that completely overpowered hitters. Once he gains better feel for his pitches here in the U.S., dude will be a beast for years.

Yeah, I watched it too. Started in the 2nd or 3rd inning, it was after he gave up the HR. But he's got great stuff. Seems to have the mental makeup too.

Cole dominated in his Houston debut. 7 innings, 2 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 11 K. He beat Mike Minor who only lasted 4.2 innings but did limit the damage to 2 runs. He just threw 93 pitches in that short outing.

I didn't know that Trevor Rosenthal was cut loose by the Cardinals because he's going to miss most if not all of 2018 after having TJS last August. Why don't the Braves sign this guy and try to catch lighning in a bottle?

His agent is Scott Boras. Boras advised Holland to wait until he was healthy and displaying his best to sign. Rosenthal is expected to do the same. Braves still could take a look at that time of course.

Oh, well there goes that idea.
