Week 14 power rankings

Posted by Mike Florio on December 12, 2017, 1:00 PM EST

1. Steelers (11-2; last week No. 2): They keep playing down to the level of the competition, but they also keep beating the competition.

2. Patriots (10-3; last week No. 1): The Patriots have a clear winning-in-Miami problem, even if Bill Belichick won’t admit it.

3. Eagles (11-2; No. 4): It’s up to Nick Foles and/or Nate Sudfeld to keep them in the top three.

4. Vikings (10-3; No. 3): Glass half full, the Vikings never gave up on Sunday. Glass half empty, the injuries are piling up.

5. Jaguars (9-4; No. 9): A bye week isn’t a pipe dream.

6. Panthers (9-4; No. 10): A bye week isn’t a pipe dream.

7. Saints (9-4; No. 6): A bye week isn’t a pipe dream.

8. Rams (9-4; No. 5): Missing the playoffs isn’t out of the question.

9. Seahawks (8-5; No. 7): If their game on Jacksonville had been played in prime-time, Michael Bennett and Quinton Jefferson wouldn’t be playing this weekend.

10. Chargers (7-6; No. 12): The playoffs don’t begin on Saturday night for the Chargers — they continue.

11. Falcons (8-5; No. 13): They still have a chance to blow a fourth-quarter lead in the playoffs.

It seems like every game on the Steelers schedule is a primetime game.

They get a lot of those because of their “legacy” and their fan base probably being top 3-4 in the league. Just saying, they’ve played some pretty meh teams this year really closely. Boswell has had a heck of a year with game winning kicks

Dude seems salty as heII. He hates the Falcons.

Has the a Falcons player ruined his marrage or something? Is she Blank's mistress???

It's not even been a week since the game, and this guy has put out enough salt to last the whole offseason. How can he be that angry about one game?

Oh yeah the hate is strong in this one.  Somebody said, in another thread, that apparently many years ago he - meaning Florio, had some kind of dustup with Roddy White.  I guess Roddy tweeted something about him, not really sure and since then he has held a pretty strong amount of hate for us.  If that's true, that is funny as helllll.  Apparently he is also a Vikes fan from what I have read, though he has also claimed to be a Saints fan.  The dude is fake as hellll.  But if he is truly a Vikes fan, and it's hard to imagine somebody lying about being a Vikes fan, then we know why he hates Atlanta.  LOL.

They have plethora of lombardis....we have confetti remainings and 28-3 memes from Houston.

True, but still sick of seeing them.

Steelers vs Ravens has lost a lot of it's physicality when Lewis and Palamalu retired.

Would rather see other teams get some spotlight. Steelers and Cowboys could suck and still get all the spotlight and primetime games. Like how the Lakers have been over exposed the past few years.

The Chargers I can maybe see, even though they have a worse record.  They have been coming on very strong in the last couple of weeks, and may yet win the AFC West.  AS for the Seahawks, they are fading fast, and of course we beat them head to head and in their house.  So that one is crap.

See  #'s 5, 6, 7... lazy journalism...Florio is a hack job...hacking on Payton's bean bag.

I don't remember the Roddy situation but it's likely. Roddy always gets at the media for saying stupid things about the Falcons or twisting his words to create controversy.

Florio being either a Vikings, Saints fan, or both explains a lot.

The man seems very bitter.
