There's a rumor we're going after Darlington Nagbe :o

If that happens HO-LY-****

If they also sign this south American kid we will have a vastly improved midfield

So right now today, Atl United has looming the most expensive intetnational transfer in MLS history (Barco) and the most expensive trade in league history (Nagbe) that are expected to be decided this week.

Not saying it won't backfire but it's certainly aggressive

Carmona sold back to Chilean league. This leaves a hole in our defense (that I promise you will be filled with a splash name imo) but opens up quite a bit of cap space

Word now is Colo Colo club couldn't match Carmona's Atlanta salary so he wants to stay here now. So no need to scramble for defensive middy depth just yet

Priority for now has to still be an Asad/Barco type attacking option

Latest rumors suggest Independente may have rejected a second offer, however Barco's has doubled down that he is unhappy and pushing for an Atlanta move and may in fact stage a holdout. And then there's also some noise about Independente going after some Chilean player or other that not only plays Barco's position but the sell is dependent on the cash they'd receive from a Barco sell. So still some positive signs.

Barco didn't show up for training camp today and word from Argentine media is Independente caved and agreed to a new offer (still negotiating how much they get when we resell him)...

Stay tuned :)

I believe the 70% is the amount we will own own Barco's righrs. Independente will get 30% of the resale.

There's some noise about Eales being down in Argentina as we speak, and the deal will be announced Monday.

In less positive news it sounds like the Carlos Carmona deal may be back on, so we may be chasing a defensive replacement

Ugh two teams with some RICH history...Aston Villa's downfall was being bought by the owner of the Cleveland Browns  poor coaching and a bad owner who doesn't invest is a bad mix. But we are on the upside right now.

MLS draft was today. Not typically where you build the core of your roster but we did really well last year with Gressell. This year's a,little different in that we also have a USL roster to now fill out
