Not worth getting upset about, but they jumped the Seahawks two spots ahead of the Falcons after their impressive road win in San Francisco.

Atlanta's specialty this season has been moving the chains. The Falcons have converted 48 percent of third downs, best in the NFL. It also would be the best by the Falcons since the 1999 team -- which made the Super Bowl -- converted 54 percent of third downs.

with so many people getting fired and leaving ESPN isn't it obvious that they pulled a bum off of the streets who has never seen a football game to write that crap?

Don't sweat the "Power Rankings" only rank that matters is where we are in the playoff race

I mean that is pretty ridiculous for them to jump us after beating 1 win SF and we just beat them the week before. And we put the beatdown on TB. That's just good ole Seattle bias from the writers. You would think they could be just a little bit objective. smh.

Nah man, they’ve been horrible a lot longer than that. I would argue selling their souls and being such arrogant pompous azzes for so long is why they are having to lay off so many folks now.

Life’s empirical orbit always eventually comes back around.

At least Elliot Harrison at NFL.com has it right. Seattle 3 below us at 12. And he's wrong about the Bartkowski era jerseys. Black all the way!

RANK

9

ATL.png

7-4 FALCONS

Who doesn't like it when Mohamed Sanu rares back and launches a moon ball, a la Steve Bartkowski circa 1980? Awesome stuff, man. Julio Jones (253 yards) looked like he might go for three bills a little over a year after doing just that against the Panthers. The huge day masks what has been a disappointing season for Jones, who, up to this point, has endured his worst campaign since missing a sizable chunk of the 2013 season. If he gets going, look out for the Falcons in the NFC.

Side note: The Jerry Glanville era jerseys were nice, but I'll take the Bartkowski red-and-grays six days a week and Sunday.

So JJ is second in the NFL in receiving yardage and it has been "A disapointing season for Jones" "Worst campaign since 2013"..........media people kill me with their insight on the Falcons!

Harrison is the only guy whose power rankings I read. ESPN might as well be FOX News

Funny thing about these rankings.  Going into week 10. The Vikings were 4th and the Rams were 7th.  Then the Vikings completely dominated the Rams 24-7.  The score was closer than the actual game.

The next week, the Rams stayed 7th.......and the Vikings dropped to 6th.

LOL.....ok.

I watched most of that game. Didn't seem to be completely dominated by the Vikings. The Rams seemed to just suck and have a ton of drops or off target passes after the first drive. Their offensive issues only seem to rear their ugly head when Gurley doesn't have a big game. Otherwise Goff has been pretty lights out this season.
