Payne/Nnadi

Thing about Payne and pretty much all other Alabama tackles is he ain't getting any better. He is already technically sound, as technically sound as he will ever be. He's already matured physically. You are watching his ceiling right now in college. Other prospects are limited to the coaching parts of the game, the technical stuff. They have room to grow both physically and mentally, haven't seen the best of them, there are guys like Cortez Broughton, Cavon Walker, Tavon Bryan, and Raseen Greene who have a greater ceiling, room to grow. Payne is what he will be in the NFL right now both physically and mentally. This is why most people see them as "top 10" players in the NFL but teams don't, because of how well they play against lawyers and accountants. Against like talent he isn't as dominant, really an average guy, and again you are already seeing his ceiling already. He ain't getting any better, he will drop to the second in my opinion, just like the other Bama DTs.

That's why he fell to the second round in my mock posted here.

I actually like Vea or Wilkins better. Wilkins is more versatile and also plays on ST.

What about the Hernandez kid?  I hear he is a hoss RG with athleticism.

Forget the "no OG's in the first round" mantra.  We need help there and he sounds like a legit first round talent.

Wes is smart and he is feisty, but he has a low ceiling.  Let's finally invest in what counts.
