This is the game that i believe he needs to go off in, he affects so much for the offense. Get those safeties n lbs out of the box. Lets not get carried away, seattle has injuries but their front four is still good . Running may not work early in the game , i dont think they respect anyone other than julio on this team. i think he will be triple teamed at times on monday but i still believe he goes off for 175 yards +

He's faced other rookie corners this year and looked just ok. It's starting to appear like he isn't the player he once was before.

I hope he proves me wrong.

I think the first few games, his issue was lack of practice from preseason. Then I think there was more to what happened in the Buffalo game than we were ever told, 'imagine that!!!!'

but he's started to look like himself over the last few games, without that obvious drop in the endzone of course.

I don’t know. You don’t want them teeing off on Matt early. If we start getting in obvious pass formations they will come. And they already know if they are gonna beat us they gotta go after Matt. We gotta slow their rush with the running game and then start hitting deep plays of play action. Every game we lost last year the run game didn’t get going. We gotta get the run game going early against that defense. Maybe if we START the game with play action on the first play they’ll think about it but we can’t just sling it around to Julio knowing they’re gonna be coming. Plus freeney knows jakes weaknesses intimately. We can’t let their defense get ahead of our play calling.

Sounds like a game where we utilize Coleman in more WR sets. In fact, this might be a game where we Gabriel and Hardy should feast

They don’t play a lot of man to man so lining Coleman up in wr sets wouldn’t be as potent. You only want to do that against a man to man team knowing the linebacker can’t run with Coleman.

Good point. Just think we should take advantage of their secondary by spreading them out and attacking their 3rd and 4th DBs

your right though im not sure we’ll be successful running at the start of the game but we could. I think OL is gaining some momentum now btw, could be huge monday.  That would be smart , come out with PA, confuse them. do you think this is the kind of game for screens and short throws to rbs and recievers? let them make the plays

Absolutely. We gotta throw the kitchen sink at that defense. Screen game, short passes in space, play action deep hits. We gotta use their aggressiveness against them.

if we can connect on those pa deep throws. We can stretch that young defense, i wouldnt be opposed to a few draws and shovel passes either. I think we all know they are going to blitz alot, they dont want their rookie cbs to have to cover our recievers too long. So like you said, gotta use their aggressiveness against them

I was gonna say draws too. Gotta keep them in their heels. We hit on some deep PA that’ll definitely slow them down. But we can’t get complacent because Sherm and Kam are out. It’s still a good unit even without them.

exactly i agree fully . their front 7 is still very good. sheldon richardson , clark, bennet,  freeney , wagner, to name a few. We have to play the best we can and dont let up. Always keep them offguard
