11. Atlanta Falcons

2017 record: 5-4
Week 10 ranking: No. 17gn-arrow.png

Projected wins: 8.5. No team has a more difficult remaining schedule than the Falcons. They still have a trip to Seattle, two games against the Saints and home games against the Vikings and Panthers. If there's any reason for hope, it's that they have four home games left, plus two games against the 3-6 Buccaneers.

Playoffs is still possible but giving up that 17 point lead against Miami and that 10 point lead against Carolina may loom large at the end of the season.

The Panties loss hurts us the most standing wise but the Miami loss was just inexcusable and will probably haunt us more just as a loss

Take care of Seattle and the Falcons are in the driver seat. They are currently tied with the Cowboys, Lions and Packers at 5-4 but hold the tie breaker on all of them. Beating Seattle puts Atlanta in the playoffs if the season were to end next Tuesday. Seattle has a tough 4 game stretch of Eagles, Jaguars, Rams and Cowboys. Green Bay will likely fade away, the Lions are up and down and the Cowboys will be without Ezekiel.

Looking ahead at the Falcons after Seattle is 3 straight home games- Bucs, Vikings, Saints. Bucs are very winnable, Vikings will be tough but Falcons can take it and then the prove it game against the Saints.

What kills me is even with the Panties loss, if the Falcons just took care of business against the Bills and Dolphins, they would be 7-2.

We aren't that good, this Dallas game was a complete fluke.

Good thing is neither are a lot of teams in the NFC right now. You just need to get in to make a run. The Falcons have the talent and if they cut down on turnovers and execution failures, then they can string some wins together.

Yep, we probably should be 8-1 at worst, the Pats game being the only true loss this team should have, and we could also easily be 3-6 if the Bears and Lions games went a different way. Maybe 7-2 at worst, the Pats and Bills game I can concede even though the Bills were gifted a TD in that game
