fuego
Just watching NFL Primetime on ESPN and Wingo talked about incentive bonuses tied to Clayborn's sacks: 8 sacks - $750,000 (so he hit that one yesterday with 6 and already had 2) 10 sacks - 1.25 milion 12 sacks - 2 million Wingo - "I bet the Falcons when they were talking about those bonuses were saying, 'He'll never get that'. Oh he's getting there." lol.

You have to expect it from him, with Vic Beasley drawing double teams, as well as Poe and Jarrett.
WinningIsTheOnlyOption
He was given the opportunity and he capitalized on it. He's done everything the Falcons DC has asked of him. I can only hope that they give him more opportunities in the future to go after the QB. You have to keep in mind, which a lot of people forget when Clayborn played for the Bucs, he was a pain for the Falcons to have to deal with, perhaps it was because he was allowed to go after the passer. One thing I can't help but think of, and that is all I have heard about is how the Cowboys have so many #1 draft pics guarding their QB, and the second one get's hurt on the left or right or whatever you hear Cowboy fans saying crap like : "Well they were without this player". I mean really, which is it, you have 4 number one round draft pic offensive linemen on you squad and 1 player you are going to allow to beat you. I tend to think, the Falcons showed up to play, make of it whatever any teams fan wants to. Don't forget about Grady Jarret or Brooks Reed also, those dudes were Squealing their turf tires when it come to getting after Dak Prescott. I must say, for all the excuses and such things that people are saying trying to discredit the great pass rush the Falcons drawn up and game play, the reality of it is, what happened was not because of injured players or suspended players, it was because everything clicked and you could see it on the field for the Falcons defense in my opinion. Something I must point out, and I don't mean to change the subject, but it was nice to see Sean Weatherspoon out there playing in the game, I just saw him in there for a couple of plays. But it does make you wonder what type of a motivational player he really is, and by that I mean he is back and the Falcons were fired up on defense no doubt in that game! Clayborn should get paid, I think all NFL contracts should be incentives, it would make the game better in my opinion. I mean who wants to show up at work as an NFL player being told that you might get crippled for your good play but go team go........ Incentives should be a part of all jobs, NFL and otherwise. Hard work should be rewarded and Clayborn deserves what he is earning. The only thing I wonder though is : "After he gets to 12 and the 2 million" what next? Does the incentives restart or can he make more?
