No offense But how do you cut a team some slack that blew a 28-3 lead losing their best chance ever to finally win a Lombardi trophy? 50+ years of mostly bad football and (0) championships. This team deserves NO slack until they win a few trophy's. The losses now dont bother me as much anymore after losing SB 51. You must be fairly young and haven't suffered enough watching this team.;) I'll continue as always to watch and cheer until I'm gone but this team deserves no pity. I want this team to make me proud to be a fan and not laughed at. The whole thing with also charging fans a fee $$ thousands... in addition to the ticket cost is completely crazy and a lot of the diehard fans were priced out. This team deserves no slack along with the ownership. Well said. I've honestly gotten more bitter about LI as the days go by. I feel ABSOLUTELY no pity for this team. I didn't feel this way before but now I wish we had never made it to the SB last year. They embarrassed this whole state in epic fashion. I REALLY thought they would comeback strong this year but reality is this team is totally mentally destroyed and I don't see them ever recovering. The epic no show in NE convinced me of that. I'd love to think this team in its current iteration would win a SB but now I think that's never going to happen. They are a shell of the team they were. Even though we lost that game last year I'm proud of this team regardless and I'm not even from your state let alone country.I don't go for the BS of having 2 teams I'm Falcons and that's it.Thats the life of a fan you lead the highs and lows. To me even losing like we did I'm a bull in a China shop I ll keep supporting regardless no matter what. If we are talking history the last decade has probably been the best stretch in Falcons franchises history.At least we are competitive every week we've just come up short.Personally I don't think we are as far away as a lot think.We just have to really sweat the small details. One. Now is the part where you say, exactly, if we had only targeted Julio, maybe we would have won those games. Then comes the part where nobody really has anything to add because this issue has been discussed ad nauseum for years, even recently by Sark, yet nothing has changed, thus there's nothing really to discuss. Did that save us some time or would you like to bring up Matt Ryan being off or Sark's play-calling as well? Maybe the defense being unable to generate pressure? The team being unable to perform for all four quarters, the lack of killer instinct? Maybe the best part of the run at the end of last year is we got a break from the never-ending Falcons cliches.
