NFL.COM says we should get Davis from colts.

Around The NFL staff: We're assuming a trade with San Francisco to bring back Kyle Shanahan is out of the cards (sorry, Falcons fans). With the offense still struggling, Dan Quinn's defense must pick up the slack. It's not the biggest need, but adding a physical corner like the Colts' Davis could transform Atlanta's defense. He's an upgrade over Robert Alford on the outside. Becoming stickier on the back end would help elevate Quinn's pass rush. With the Colts headed down the tube and Davis about to hit free agency, it shouldn't cost a ton to pry him away from Indy.

Potential cost: 2018 fourth- or fifth-round pick.

Not sure it’s an upgrade, but even if it is, it’s not a big upgrade and we have already paid Alford & Tru.  Alford is underrated IMO

It's true that both Alford and Trufant got beaten by Anderson yesterday, but look at the two plays.  Alford had perfect coverage and the Anderson just made an unbelievable diving catch.  Where the ball was thrown the play was pretty much impossible to defend.

Against Trufant, Anderson beat him so bad that I thought maybe he was calling for a fair catch on that TD.  The announcers even described Trufant as having his feet in cement or something like that.

I think the Falcons are ok CB. Can't say what they have is just perfect. Atlanta is in bed with them for some time as management just inked then to some nice $ :rain:contracts.

I am having a hard time pulling for Trufant. I have seen a few games where he just looks like he is not going to give his best effort. It was either a Saints game or last years Packers game they just abused Trufant and he looked like he could care less about covering his guy.  Then he will come out the next game and play like an all pro.

I also think Alford gets some flags that are not justified. People here can say what they want negative about him. I see a player getting after it on every play. I like how aggressive he plays. Would love to see more of that from Tru.

To me, Tru looks like a shadow of his former self!  He was better his rookie year!
