HEIST
I was wrong about Sark. I thought he was gonna be good enough to ride out our talent and keep us as a top 10 maybe top 5 offense depending on the rest of the NFL. But he's so much worse than that! I think after this performance our offense will be in the bottom third of the NFL in terms of points per game when they were scoring what? 33 last year? I'm pissed at DQ for helping out his good ol boy Sark and leaving his players out to dry when there were perfectly good in-house candidates for the job. To me we still have execution issues and we aren't going with enough up tempo. I know what you are saying, but it’s the NFL. Few plays are perfectly executed. As the OC its your job to know your players and create a gameplan they can execute.

I can be alright with that but there has to be some major changes in thought and attitude starting from the top. Sark isn't getting another year and might be gone tomorrow. DQ forced him upstairs and AB hates being embarassed on national TV. 7 points against the worst defense in the league is inexcusable and that jet sweep showed he either doesn't grasp NFL playcalling or he's mentally slow. All it takes is one to shoot the outside gap to cut that play off. Not to mention the fact that they ran it out of motion, basically telling the defense what play they are running before the snap. Just absolutely terrible design and call. And they did it with no backs, leaving the LBs nobody to account for except Gabriel and they ran with him down the line before the snap. Easy read for the D. DMT11
5 minutes ago, Falconsin2012 said: It’s not even that. Sark is running a more traditional WCO passing game that relies on quick short timing routes. Shanny preferred chunk yards in the passing game. We are running 5 yard outs that are well covered and short of the 1st down markers ITs not that either, I wasnt saying its one or the other - the WCO chunk yards arent acheivable without being able to run the ball, we aint doing that this year - because our oline is being penetrated, but its at this point not really beacuse they got bad, its because the teams know what the oline is going to do when the play begins, so instead of being blocked they are doing small stunts to get penetration, you cant run zone running concepts over and over and teams let you do it, why zone works is because the team is forced to guess on the blocking the oline does and it gives your runners room, ofcourse if you have good rb that makes it even moreso which is what we saw last year. After all was said and done, I saw something on my phone. Sarkisian Leaves Bama for NFL! I was thrilled. I said, "I wonder which stupid NFL team signed this guy." I clicked and saw we had. I nearly cried. Came here to complain, only to find a barrage of excitement. I said, "There are a few of us Bama fans happy he's not there" and the usual come back? "Not the ones I have spoken to." I still don't know who that could have been, because most of my Bama buddies didn't like the playcalling and blamed him for the loss. Now, I am seeing the same thing I hated about that game every week. Super frustrating. A friend of mine at work is a Bama and a Falcons fan. He literally said to me " As a Alabama fan I was excited to see him leave as a Falcons fan I was depressed to see him come to Atlanta"
Lord Sarcomere
Couldn't get it going against the 32rd ranked defense in the league. Saw this coming from a mile away. Get rid of Sark for the love of god.

Agree for the most part of what's been said here but some of those passes tonight were just off target the Sanu shot in the end zone in the first half and the 4th down play. The Butler defended pass in the end zone to Julio I thought Ryan was late with that pass and the deep shot in the first half Julio stumbled and just missed the catch. I personally think we have to keep the same mentality and Ryan has to keep throwing those balls and hope they stick. To me the worst thing right now we can do is take the foot off the pedal.I still believe we need to pass to open up the run for the dynamic duo. blkbigdog35
What I dislike about Sark is his inability to be creative with his playmakers. His play calling is asinine and I doubt DQ let's him go so it may be a long season.
stizz
My guy KOG. Let's be real this was the best thing to happen. If we would have lost in a squeaker, Sark keeps his job. This loss will bring the firing of Sark and Quinn gave more snaps to Ish at linebacker even before his injury. 3-3 with a shakeup isn't terrible. Freeman is still averaging 4.5 yards per carry this season so it’s not that we can’t run effectively, the plan calling just isn’t fluid with one play setting up the next. Everything is telegraphed, actually surprised Freeman has a 4.5 yard average it’s been so telegraphed.

You can say that, sure but were getting to chicken or the egg circular logic arguments - but we cant really look at free avg 4.5 yards when we only have 8 possessions in a game, use the eye test on this one, doesnt matter hes getting 4.5 when its only 4.5 for a few runs. since68andcounting
The guy only attacks the edges. He's June Jones 2. You have to dominate the middle of the field to win a football game. That's what the Patriots did. I think they averaged 8 yards a carry, straight up the gut, on 1st down in the first half.
