Defense looks horrible. McCown had all kinds of time in the pocket today. I think the falcons will wake up after this 2 game losing streak. Additions - OC-Sarkisian, FB-Coleman, OG-Chester Subtractions - OC-Shanahan, FB-DiMarco, OG-Schweitzer If the OC is not the problem, the next immediate thing to question is the blocking-is Ryan not having enough time or comfort in the pocket? I thought he didn't in the two games without Schraeder, and I think I was right on that. He didn't have happy feet today and threw for 70% and a 100 QBR, just like the first two games, if you subtract the interception to Hooper. My breakdown in the OP says what I thought about the O Line today, though. Three series were directly blown up by bad O Line play. 5 minutes ago, osiruz said: 0 points in the 3rd quarter in 2 straight games is not excution, it's coaching. We had the ball for three plays in the entire third quarter, which was the series where Mack and Levitre royally f*cked up on a double team/stunt. New England’s defense isn’t even close to the level of talent that Buffalo and Miami have. It’s seems like the falcons kryptonite is excellent front 4’s. Eagles last year, Bears, Bills, and now Dolphins this year

This is why I didn't want to play the Cowboys in the playoffs last year, actually. Great front 4s on solid defenses plus taking the ball out of the offense's hands while beating up on/tiring out our relatively small defense is the way to beat this team. The reason we beat the Packers is because we can just stop their putrid run game and force them to throw it 40 times. Knight of God
Too many things to fix IMO. Missing tackles, no contain, inconsistent pass rush, Freeman was running like crazy but carries HOW MANY TIMES? Ryan throwing the ball to who? Where? How? Seriously called that play? "Watch this, its a pass." OL isn't that bad, but if I know you're passing, I can tee off.

I think the falcons can literally do the exact same thing to New England that they did to Green Bay. They can take away the run and force Brady to throw and hit him. They can also play keep away from him as their defense can’t stop our offense (if we execute like we should. Easier said than done right now)

I get this isn't the same team as last year but starting to look like we're playing down to the other team's level. Right now I don't trust these guys to beat anybody not named the Browns or Colts. I'm not surprised that we've had so many tipped balls turned interceptions because there is seemingly always a defender close by. One of the beauties of last season was how often a receiver was either wide open and/or had some room to pick up YAC. This is a shell of 2016. Yeah Falcons ran free last year. That said teams had a lot of film from last year including the final quarter and a half of the super bowl to learn how to shut this offense down. cyofish
We seem to be running a different offense this year. Less trying to create mismatches. Not having a FB that is pass catching threat. The offense isn't as creative as they were last year. So much for "we're gong to run same offense".
