fuego
...because it's no sure thing going back. A lot of people were talking here like it was a gimme that we were going back. Now we still may, but it's not looking like it and we certainly won't if we keep playing like this. Especially agains a team that we should have soundly beaten. Jay Freakin' Cutler for crying out loud. A team event Saints held to no points. smh.
MilleniumFalcon
You can't take anything for granted. A chance like last season might not ever come again for Matt Ryan.
Hooper72
Exactly. 2004 was our year. 2010 was our year. 2012 was our year. 2016 was our year. There is never a guarantee, but EVERY ONE of those teams could have done it. F***K this team and whatever bad ju-ju curse is hung over it. tl;dr
At least now we all can see that we won't be winning the Super Bowl this year.
FalconMama
Absolutely. Falcons fans should know that nothing is certain. For heavens sake our last SB appearance before this one was in 98.
Rise
Re- Building is good. It's interesting...Hawks and Braves have done it early... They recognized their maximum early, and received picks and talent.

That team was historic.... Probably the best team the Falcons will ever have... and even then the Falcons couldn't get the job done.

Dirtybird56
Making it to the SB is only half the battle. Someone has to lose it every single year and feels like they should've taken advantage. The problem is it's different when you're up 28-3 in the SB and don't walk away with the trophy
South GA Bird
Felt. Like 28-3 all over today with not as much on the line.

I Even Bleed Red
Idk about curses, but when you lose a 25 pt game in the 4th quarter, I don't think the SAME crew wins the SB anytime soon.

RHEC
We will win our first superbowl next season, in our own house. Bank on it.
WornOutFalconFan
When we lost the SB last year I just figured that was our real chance. I had hopes we would be good like last year but no.

Lord Sarcomere
Honestly feels like Atlanta will never win it all. The culture of choking around here is just too much to overcome.

The choke of all chokes for this team, we reached the pinnacle of chokes, and now on our way back down never to sniff a SB again.
