The SB Hangover is now officially underway

Interesting. Because that's exactly what people said would happen this week after we beat the Dolphins.

Face it man. This team is in trouble.

Lost AT HOME 2 weeks in a row.

CHOKED AWAY a 17 point lead.

Lost AT HOME coming off of a BYE WEEK

I'm the one who predicted an easy win. I'm sure I'll hear about it for the rest of the year. That said, I remain confident. The skill and talent is there. As long as you have those things a R-E-L-A-X moment isn't that tough to come by. 4-2 after 6 games could have easily been 6-0 or 2-4.

I do have some actual observations on what went wrong...but I'll wait a day or two. Don't want to interrupt the vomit fest.

Tough to disagree.  I would say this is easily Quinn's worst loss since he got here and the fact that you put up that kind of performance off of the bye and a loss in which your team looked "out of it" leads me to think that the SB hangover we all thought wasn't coming is indeed here.

Bears (with Glennon) were bad.

Lions look like pretenders.

Saints and Panthers look the be a lot better than we were anticipating.

This is not gonna be a fun season guys.  I feel it.

We're not 4-2. Wish that was the case!

How can you remain confident in a team that losses at home coming off of a bye week to the Dolphins?

And if that wasn't bad enough, how can you remain confident in a team that has a CULTURE of choking? You've got a lot of patience my man.

I think the Chargers loss was the worst but this is right behind it lol.

See, I think the Chargers were actually a decent team that had trouble winning and we looked REALLY good at points in that one.

Outside of a homerun play to Hall and the TD drive made possible by Free's huge run...we looked AWFUL in almost every facet today.  Defense (Dolphins offense is bad), Offense, and Special Teams (Bosher and Roberts).

I just don't know how you look that bad against a struggling Miami team off the bye week.  I have very little hope we turn this thing around this year.

Most points scored by the Dolphins all season.

Only Dolphins interception all season.

Only time in his career Cutler has overcome a 17-point 2nd half deficit.

What am I missing?

I'm sure there's more ...

We're always the team that breaks all the wrong records I've noticed.

Yeah, all Atlanta sports franchises have a history of choking.....'95 Braves being the lone exception.

You can't. We gave up the biggest lead ever in a conference championship (I believe?). I KNOW we gave up the biggest lead ever in a Super Bowl, in fact by 2 more touchdowns than the previous worst.

You can't ever trust us to hold a lead.

I need to cool down first, but I am VERY seriously considering selling my ticket to the Pats game next week. I spent a ton of money on it and I'm just not sure it's worth it.

I'll still watch, I never just give up on my team.

But I don't know if I can justify such an expensive ticket after the last two games I've watched.

dont blame you at all I was let down by the overhyped and priced stadium and now with the team, we have serious issues everywhere

Losing non-conference games, even ugly ones, doesn't bother me as much as losing a well played game in the conference. That said, total record is important and this team is getting close to a point where they will need to win 4 or 5 in a row to stay in #1 seed consideration.

My answer to both questions is talent. I can see the talent. I'm watching the coaching staff. Will they flip the switch and get that power to the ground?

Much humor above. What was our record after 6 games last season? This team can dominate like the first half all the time. That game is in them. Quinn just needs to tap the breaks just a touch on: "All gas, no brakes." Right now it is leading to undisciplined play. That is what happens when you are all about speed and aggression. You are going to have some "wow" moments. He doesn't want them thinking...he wants them playing fast. Mission accomplished.

What is funny is the mood will be just as optimistic 15 minutes after next week's game as it is pessimistic now.

I love your enthusiasm Dave, always have and thats me too, I've caught **** in game threads rooting people on , but that last paragraph is kind of the problem with this team , we take to much for granted. sure we are very talented , but we have to remember that right across the line from us are grown, proud men,  who are usually underdogs to our talented team, they want more than anything to beat us, they play hard and hungry while we seem to take our talent for granted, just because we show up doesn't mean they will bow down to us .  I want to see some fire, I want to see guys getting mad on the sideline , I want to see our proud team humbled , maybe a beatdown next week  in Foxboro would be good medicine for us , I won't root for that , I never would . But if this team wants to be that Superbowl bound ***-kicking machine that we all want so much to see, we need to realize that we have to smack them in the face , fight them for every yard  , treat every week like its do or die , you can't beat up on Green Bay and then allow Buffalo    and Miami  come to our house and beat us , sure they have good defenses and its a big game for them , but its a big game for us too and needs to be treated as such. In the regular season a win is a win and a loss is a loss, doesn't matter who its against. Sorry I didn't mean to go on a   rant but, I want to see us saying "good game " to them , while our foots on their throats . I want to see my Birds playing up to their ability., taking nothing for granted .

Anyone against us at home is a lot better than we anticipated.

On a positive note, we play better on the road. But not being able to dominate inferior teams at home = no NFC Champs in 17.

So when is the draft? I'm on the verge of counting the days until it's here.

We were definitely looking ahead this week. And the worst part is this team wasn't even exciting to watch today.

Outside of the choking there is one consistent theme with this team. They can't stop power running teams. I love Debo and Campbell, but it's worth considering getting a thumper LB in there too. Probably a better nose tackle as well. Jay Ajayi was dragging guys, Bills OLine overwhelmed us, Eagles last year. Bears gave us trouble too.

The defense was bad last season.

They gott teh turn-overs without Trufant.

Beasley's breakout won them games, and covered the flaws.

Poe has not been a difference maker like I though he would be.
