Jerz
I thought people would learn by now that Seattle always starts the season off slow. I'm not buying that they're not a good team anymore just yet. Barring any major injuries they'll start hitting their stride mid-season like they always do. I have no doubt that we can beat them but that game is still going to be a heavyweight slugfest.
4dabirds
I think the bye came at a really good time, and hopefully the Falcons will cleanup some things that really needed to be addressed. Got to get a handle on the turnovers on offense, and have to start getting some on defense.

With limited RB talent, teams don't have to play their offense straight up. Force Wilson to make magic on a weekly basis. They've beat the Niners, Colts, and Rams. Not exactly a tough bunch. Unless their playing an offense that can beat themselves so their defense can capitalize, I don't see them as a dangerous team. More rep than talent at this point. Eliminate mistakes which were happening past 4 games. And then, avoid media till October 22nd - because all they will have on news is how we blew a 28-3 lead to Patriots and how yet again we will be underdogs on road. Man, so we play a Sunday night game rematch of the Patriots on the same night that "The Walking Dead" premires it's 100th episode. Now I get why this game wasn't scheduled as the opening game of the season. Some ratings skull duggery going on. I'll watch the game of course, but will have to avoid the offcial game day thread like tbe plague, as it has been proven in the past that people will spoil the **** out of the show during the game thread. That's the thing about Wilson he can make magic out of almost nothing. As long as Seattle has that defense and a healthy Wilson they will always be dangerous. But what I'm really trying to say is if the Falcons keep playing like they have been the past 4 weeks that game is going to be ugly. That Wilson to Baldwin connection can always make sum shake. If we keep letting teams stick around till the end Wilson is one of the last QB's you want to face. Baldwin, Lockett, and Richardson are dangerous receivers that can make some spectacular catches in crunch time. With the loss of Hageman, Crawford and Upshaw being a little iffy with his ankle this line can not take anymore losses. We only played 4 games so far and look at the injury list that has racked up who knows if another 4 game stretch with 3 being on the road won't bring even more. Poe and Grady are not going to be as fresh picking up all this slack. The Falcons better come out swinging after this bye week or we might not get that week off we may desperately need in the playoffs.

Each NFL game is an entity unto itself. You know the old adage that styles make fights? Well it holds true across all sports. Doesn't matter how they've looked against everyone else. That defense has played top 10 ball and could make the afternoon a long one. Just focus on getting the W. show me where I said we had to "blow out" the Dolphins - I said we have to WIN the game. Francis York Morgan
Fun fact - Bears and Cowboys are the only teams on our schedule with a losing record thus far, and neither are as bad as the record would make it seem. Combined record of the teams we face this season, not including our games against them is 41-28 (0.594). That's pretty **** good - though it's early in the season, and things can change. HOYLE
We would do well to demonstrate that: -we are capable of playing 4 quarters of winning football -that we don't get all weak kneed and scared and worried in the red zone -contrary to our previous games this year, all our pre-season games and the last quarter of the super bowl that we can block, tackle, catch, throw and run the football. That would be a nice change, I would enjoy that!

falconidae
Don't think it's a must win to get into the playoffs, it's already looking like a must win for home field advantage throughout the playoffs, which is certainly a worthwhile goal. Think Schraeder coming back stabilizes the OLine and the offense plays better.

Peyton
Considering the state of the Dolphins vs. the state of the Falcons, a loss in this game would be the worst regular season loss in franchise history in my opinion. So yeah, I agree, this is a must win.
Falcon from E
i see us going 2-4, or even worse 1-5. Matt Ryan needs to play like 2016 not 2015, and if he doesnt we are in for a long season

Right now, he is right back down to "good not great" - yes, I know his career stats are good. Matt needs to raise his level of play tremendously from where it is right now. Yup. I was on the Falcons game thread several years ago and people knew DAMMM well that many of us were recording TWD. Someone posts "T-Dog just died". I lost my mind. But then figured it was already spoiled so stayed on the chat. Then someone posts "Lori just died too". I'm pretty sure I blocked said people. The defense is very, very good - top 10. The offense? QB is good but the motor is missing in the sportscar because the O-Line is so bad. Very difficult for a team like that to win on the road in the playoffs. However, at home w/ crowd noise and the referee advantages that seem to come to Seattle at home, they are a threat. There have been lots of teams over the years with great defenses that still sucked. The Browns, Bills, and Jets all come to mind as having recently had top 10 defenses while being bottom feeders. I don't see Seattle as any more a threat than any other team in the league.

They’re 4-1 and would have a better overall record if we fall to 3-2. The buffalo game may have some significance down the line if we end up with the same Record tho. Ehh we are not in "must win" Even with a loss we still have a better conference record and we play them for the first time a few weeks. There are no non division/non conferencweek 5 must win games...especially with the way the schedule shakes out having nearly our entire division schedule bunched up into the last 6 weeks or so of the schedule.
