Everyone hates us right now, actually. Not just the Saints. Honest question, would the Lions have even gotten a play off with 8 seconds on the clock?

depends on when they start the clock.  I'd say yes they would have because there would have been a little time between finding out and actually starting the clock.  Would have been really close though.

They're right. We were lucky that the refs made a GOOD call for once.

I dont consider it luck really it was just the flow of the game. Our Defense held their offense in check most of the game. If that was not the case they wouldnt have needed to come from behind. If we want to talk about officiating, some of the calls on the DB were tacky one negating a interception that would have ended the game. There was plenty of penalties both ways this game but you should play to not let it come down to those moments.

I'm glad that we won but, that run-off is kind of a dumb rule in this instance. If a play is under official review, there should be some exception to that. We played sloppy today, but a win is a win

Sure if they want to make all of the players stay in the same position they were in until they review the play then make them get up to the line from all over the field, set, call a play and snap it. It is there because basically there is no way they can regroup and get a play off.

If the play would have been called down initially, there is no way Detroit gets a play off.

No way they could have run a real play, they could not even spike the ball because it was 4th down. Only hope would have been to somehow line up properly and Stafford sneaks it in without a procedure penalty that would have ended the game with a 10 second run off.

Well, if we get a lead,, Just like in the SB,, And we average about 7 yards a carry,,, You'd think we would have learned that lesson.. How Stupid for NFL HCs (Our HC ) to not be able to see that.... We don't deserve to go undefeated... Like my post,, But to be honest,, I thought we had learned better.. Now I'm not sure they have leanred YET!! :argh: How dumb can you get.. I'm starting to lose my confidence in our Coaches.. If they,, I mean we were only averaging about 8 yards per carry....:yikes:

The rule is the rule.  I'm not saying it would have been impossible but I find it hard to believe they get a 4th down play off with 8 seconds.  Had he been called down they CERTAINLY would have wanted a review and a review essentially gives a team the advantage of having an extra timeout there in that kind of situation.  Sucked for them today but there's a reason the rule is in place.  He was clearly down on review.

Again I say...

DEAL WITH IT!
