falconidae
Next Generation stats has LCAD-which is Longest Completed Air Distance-the pass that traveled furthest from QB's hand to the Receiver catching it, as the crow flies. It's the actual distance the pass traveled. Cutler had a 65 yard pass as the longest , Newton had a 64 yarder next. Not surprising. Ryan's longest was 61.4 yard, good for 8th in the league last year. Rodgers was actually 11th at 60.8. For all of the talk about Ryan's arm, thought that 8th is really good. Lots of other interesting stuff on that site as well. https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/stats/passing/2016/all#max-completed-air-distance

RichardCNile
I recall a stat from last year where they showed his QBR or completion % for passes over 20 yards and it was impressively good. can't recall the numbers, but I was impressed. I think the thing for Falcons and MR2 is that defenses can't cover everyone and Matt doesn't just chuck and duck. He air's it out when the opportunity presents itself. Duff_Man
I was told that Ryan only benefits from short passes and that Rodgers throws deep.
high impact
Another thing I love is he makes Gabriel, Hardy, Hooper, Toilolo and Sanu look better. No one knew any of these guys before Matt Ryan stared throwing to them. All the haters can say is that Ryan has all these weapons. Truth be told the Falcons system run by a GREAT QB in Matt Ryan make this team dominate. People need to wake up and give credit where credit is due. That's my QB and I am very proud of him and all the players on our team.

Last year, on passes that went 20+ yards in air from LOS, Ryan was: 25 of 51 for 995 yards 9 TDs and no picks for a QB rating of 134.6. Man had a good year. On passes thrown 41+ yards, he was: 5 of 8 for 262 yards 2 TDs , no INTSs 145 QB rating edit: stats from ESPN splits, used this QB rating calculator: http://www.primecomputing.com/

droopy1592
Noodle wind up is the only way he can complete that pass. Collinsworth told me.
Geneaut
In Ryan's early years he had an odd arc on his deep passes. I haven't noticed it in a few years. That arc made his deep passes look odd. I think that made people think he had issues with deep passes.
