Trading Tevin Coleman?

Recommended Posts

Someone brought up the idea on af.com and I think it's reasonable, depending on the return value. If we could get a key defensive player/RG or 3rd round (or higher) pick I wouldn't be surprised by the move. His contract is expiring after 2018 so I'm sure TD and company are thinking about all possible options now. Also, considering how good DQ has been at drafting in later rounds makes it all the more interesting.

Thoughts?

**** no. Who replaces his production??

This is as bad as your "Tampas has an easy schedule" thread.

His trade value must be higher than I initially thought lol.

You mean the thread that led to discussion and is still near the top of the first page?

Who replaces Coleman??

And who cares if it's on the first page?? It's a bunch of people just telling you they're schedule is the same as ours and talking about other teams. They aren't even talking about Tampa's schedule being "easy" because no one cares.

Edit : Lol the last 2 responses in your thread are you. Of course it'll stay front page if you keep bumping it. Eventually someone else will reply.

F*ck no , how is that even reasonable ? Are you expecting Ward or Brian Hill too replace him.

coleman is a great rb who can be a great wr. Thats what makes him so valuable , he looks like a reciever. He is bigger than most rbs splitting outwide but one of the fastest in the nfl.

If you trade him, you risk messing up the flow of the offense. There is no reason to trade him

he was key piece to the offense and you just wanna trade him away ?? When we are trying to win a SB ??

I think we should draft Sony Michel in the 4th/5th round and let him learn from Coleman & Freeman as Coleman plays out his rookie contract.  Michel has a very comparable skill set to Coleman

I would love to get Sony but I think he's going to start creeping up draft boards as he's more of an all around back than Chubb. I think Chubb falls.

Only way Coleman isn't on the active roster until the end of 2018 is if he's hurt or on IR.  He's got a salary of 700K this year and 860K next year. There's no reason whatsoever to move him. He's much more likely to get a new contract than to be traded.

I don't know that the Falcons would trade him for a first rounder is some other team was silly enough to make the offer. And no other team will.

It would be interesting to see. You never know what we could get in return.

It led to discussion. That's exactly why I posted it lol. All the discussion is not about that and even if it was it doesn't matter.
