ESPN: Falcons new number 1

1. Atlanta Falcons

2017 record: 2-0
Week 2 ranking: No. 7gn-arrow.png

Falcons fans can drop any concerns about Steve Sarkisian running the offense. FPI has the Falcons as the second-rated offense so far this season, and Matt Ryan is averaging nearly 10 yards per pass attempt. The Falcons are just the fourth Super Bowl loser to start the next season 2-0.

Too much hate for the Bears win, and too much love for the Packers win.

This team is going to be the best in the NFL, but I am telling you they are just starting to get in sync.  They are building to hit their groove sometime around.....oh I don't know....October 22nd.  It's going to be beautiful to watch.

I told everybody on here we are the best team in the NFL .... 2 months ago. We may not lose a game this year... It all depends on how healthy we can stay.. If we stay healthy enough.. We will not lose a game this year. The bad news is My man Beasley is hurt and out.. So......??? We shall see....

Actually... I think they are a year or so away from hitting their full stride, I have always said this teams best football is STILL ahead of them.

And yes, that is scary.(for the rest of the league)

I especially expect our defense to tighten way up by then. Perfect timing.

Still don't know why anyone cares about ESPN opinions. Zero cares given.

ALL of the national Media blow the same horn of, something must have been wrong with the other team and I am use to it.

Like Monday morning, NFL Network spent five minutes talking about how the flag on the Pick play by Green Bay change the game from close(was 17-7 at the time SMH) to a blowout as I guess that "made" Rodgers throw the ball to a wide open Trufant a few plays later in that drive.

Pretty much Disregarding the BS PI that was called to keep Green Bay's first drive going or they MAY have been shut out AGAIN for the first half just like the NFCCG.

Agree.  It was a great win Sunday night, but there were some serious mistakes.

1.  on our second possession, it's 1st and 10.  MR2 looks like he changed the play at the line.  he turns left to hand off the ball to Coleman, but Coleman had gone right.  MR2 has no choice but to throw the ball out of bounds.

2.  On Defense during GB's first (I think) series, we missed covering a guy. Rodgers threw a quick pass to him and he rumbled down to the 3 yrd line to setup their td.

There were some passes Ryan missed connecting on and there were some open receivers that Ryan missed seeing.

Despite all of this... we are 2-0 and taking care of business.

It's a good time to be a Falcon fan.

LOL there is no way in this world that there are NINE teams worse than the New Orleans Feces.

Also, they have the Giants ranked WAAAAAAY too high.  They look like absolute hot garbage right now.   Getting booed in their own stadium by their own fans after practically every snap.

New Orleans feces lol that made me laugh
