Who would be a better 3rd QB for Atlanta? Brandon Allen or Matt Barkely?

Been pondering this question after another poster posted comments where Sarkisian said he would prefer Barkley to Andrew Luck.  We need a QB.  Osweiler gone back to Denver so I think two possibilites are QB Brandon Allen who got let go by Jacksonville or Matt Barkey. RG 3 and Joe Webb are looking for work and Blaine Gabbert is available but those last guys could not be stashed on the practice squad.  I am intirugued by Allen who could be stashed on the PS:

Allen (6'1/217) made 34 starts for the Arkansas Razorbacks, setting a school record with 64 career passing touchdowns and leading the SEC in passer rating (166.5) and yards per attempt (9.3) as a senior with a 65.9% completion rate and 30:8 TD-to-INT ratio. Allen is small with small hands (8 1/2") and played in a simplistic, play-action-heavy offense at Arkansas, but he offers adequate arm strength, a quick release, and plus mobility.

I think Allen is the best PS QB available or have I missed someone?

Did not think of that but you are right.  Mohammed Sanu was the Emergency Quarterback last year and is not a stranger to the position.  Thank you for enlightening me but I still think Allen is worth at least a look.

I was just kidding.

Sanu is our emergency, in-game QB but seems like we should have someone ready to go on the PS.

Would most definitely sign Brandon Allen to the practice squad. To be quite honest, had it truly been open competition in Jacksonville for the starting QB job then Allen would have been handed the job. He greatly outplayed both Blake Bortles and Chad Henne.

Hold on, you think Brandon Allen should start over Bortles or Henne?

Barkley and Kyle Sloter are guys I think we should try to get here and help develop. Not that we really need them to play yet; winning the Super Bowl is our priority and Matt isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Schaub being more of a coach than actual player means QBs like Simms will takes snaps for the team during preseason and that's pretty much it. These back ups Qbs we want hopefully won't ever play for us. Anyone remember Jim Sorgi? Curtis Painter?
