No they didn't.  I remember seeing one in a preseason game that didn't include SanFran.  Can't remember the team or the coach.  Just remember thinking "that's one of Shanny's old assistants." LOL guess that's not too reliable, but it is what I remember.

I am pretty sure his qb coach went to the Bills

Right now? Shanny. Hopefully in a couple weeks Sark changes my mind

We had a top 10 offense of all time and the MVP QB with Shanny calling the plays. The answer should unanimously be him.

Same here. I would have liked one more season with Shanny just to build on last year and see how the O did one more time with another year under their belt with his system/play calling. And he would have learned something from the SB loss.

I wanted one of Shanny's assistants to get promoted up, but I can't hate on Sark until he has at least a season under his belt. He was a great WCO mind in college and we've given him the keys to a sports car. Let's see if he can handle it.

Apparently, Quinn wanted someone with actual play calling experience- which none of KS's assistants had. Going by memory, but that's what I heard.

I think this offense is going to cruise and Sarkisian might get too much credit but that's OK.  At the end of the day it is about the talent and the QB, and the Falcons are loaded.

But with regards to the question, I am fine with Sarkisian.  Shanahan had to go after that Super Bowl meltdown.

Exactly

Shanahan had to go. Also, Ryan even said that it's pretty much the exact same offense except for a few wrinkles here and there.

I honestly believe there will be more cohesion between Ryan and Sark than there was with him and Shanahan. Ryan will have more grasp in running of the offense.

I think people give coaches too much credit. People forget about 2015. We had Shanny then too. It is the players that make the team work. I don't care who is coaching. Quality players will make any coach look good. Shanny's offense with the 49ers will be much worse than the Falcons offense without Shanny. You will see who does better. Did we not also forget that Shanny's crappy misuse of time often left the defense exploited? It's not just about points folks. It's about the team overall, keeping the opposing offense off the field and giving your defense a chance to breathe. This was an issue during the regular season that finally bit the team in the butt when it counted the most.. Shanny was looking out for Shanny.

I'll forever despise Shanahan for costing us a Lombardi

So ******* Steve Sarkisian is my pick!

I think if Steve doesn't work out just let Matt Schaub,

who played with Shanny for years and Musgrave developed,

should co-coordinate with Matt Ryan to run the new Shanny,  no Huddle- 24/7.

All plays called at the line of scrimmage by MR,

Schaub would just be there to give advice,

hey, Shanny might do this in this situation!

The biggest thing I need to see from Sark is gamesmanship play calling.  Coaches like Andy Reid, Josh McDaniels all make a living off of not just knowing what the right play call is, but when the right time to use it is. Timing is everything when it comes to play calling.

Fixed it for you :)

Sark will be great
