Can't remember the team or the coach. Just remember thinking "that's one of Shanny's old assistants." LOL guess that's not too reliable, but it is what I remember. I am pretty sure his qb coach went to the Bills

Arkridge
I wanted one of Shanny's assistants to get promoted up, but I can't hate on Sark until he has at least a season under his belt. He was a great WCO mind in college and we've given him the keys to a sports car. Let's see if he can handle it.

I would have liked one more season with Shanny just to build on last year and see how the O did one more time with another year under their belt with his system/play calling. And he would have learned something from the SB loss.
Beast-N-Da-Sheetz
I'm riding with Sark. The one thing I've noticed so far is that we seem to acquire better offensive players in the draft and free agency while Shanahan was here. Not sure if that was due to Shannys personal scouting or if I'm just jumping the gun on a season that hasn't even started yet.

Apparently, Quinn wanted someone with actual play calling experience- which none of KS's assistants had. Going by memory, but that's what I heard. At the end of the day it is about the talent and the QB, and the Falcons are loaded. But with regards to the question, I am fine with Sarkisian. Shanahan had to go after that Super Bowl meltdown. Exactly Shanahan had to go. Also, Ryan even said that it's pretty much the exact same offense except for a few wrinkles here and there. I honestly believe there will be more cohesion between Ryan and Sark than there was with him and Shanahan. Ryan will have more grasp in running of the offense. Intellectually Honest
I think people give coaches too much credit. People forget about 2015. We had Shanny then too. It is the players that make the team work. I don't care who is coaching. Quality players will make any coach look good. Shanny's offense with the 49ers will be much worse than the Falcons offense without Shanny. You will see who does better. Did we not also forget that Shanny's crappy misuse of time often left the defense exploited? It's not just about points folks. It's about the team overall, keeping the opposing offense off the field and giving your defense a chance to breathe. This was an issue during the regular season that finally bit the team in the butt when it counted the most.. Shanny was looking out for Shanny. AndySG
The SB was devastating but Shanahan coached close to a perfect season last year. If Sark can get anywhere near that then I will be pleased.
NeonDeion
Whichever OC lets Matt Ryan audible. I truly believe Matt Ryan's ceiling is Peyton Manning. Take the chains off now please
Colin_Pernett
I said Shanny was he best offensive coordinator in the league before he got here and stuck with that even after his first year here. I think Sark will be great, but Shanahan is the best in the biz. Which is why he's a head coach now.

iDash
I think if Steve doesn't work out just let Matt Schaub, who played with Shanny for years and Musgrave developed, should co-coordinate with Matt Ryan to run the new Shanny, no Huddle- 24/7. All plays called at the line of scrimmage by MR, Schaub would just be there to give advice, hey, Shanny might do this in this situation! Coaches like Andy Reid, Josh McDaniels all make a living off of not just knowing what the right play call is, but when the right time to use it is. Timing is everything when it comes to play calling. Fixed it for you Sark will be great
kschreck
I voted Sark, he's here and want to see what he can do. Plus I appreciate his connection with the players. In light of the SB I think KS being back could have been an issue and would have made it harder to be as locked in as everyone is now.
