Legit question because I do like your metrics, how does he grade?

I don't have numbers for interior guys, but as a 4-3 DE he's a tier 3 guy. Same group as like Ansah, Chris Long, Everson Griffen. Same group as Taco Charlton from this year's draft class too. He's more athletic than Taco tho.

Why is Ansah so low? He's 6'6 270 with 35" arms, 7.11 3 cone, 4.5 40.  Didn't turn 23 till after his rookie year.

because he was old. He's literally the only 4-3 DE in the last decade who turned 23 before the end of his rookie season who managed 32 rookie contract sacks, and he had exactly 32, so bare minimum in the "elite" category.

basically I only care about rookie contract production because that's all you're guaranteed when you draft a player. If an edge rusher averages 5 sacks a season over their first 4 seasons I consider that a success. 8 sacks a season is a huge success and what I consider to be the low end of "elite" production for a rookie contract. If a player averages 8 sacks a season over their first 4 years, that's 32 sacks. Zeke Ansah had exactly 32 in his first 4 years, which fits my definition for elite production, but it's at the bare minimum for elite. He's also the only 4-3 DE in the last decade who turned 23 years old before the end of his rookie season to reach that mark, and the only other guy with 20+ was Chris Long at 30.5. So every other 4-3 DE who turned 23 before the end of their rookie season who was drafted in 2007-2013 ended up with <20 rookie contract sacks.
