this is from two different articles last yr hence my statement of he gets nicked up lol.

Stanford star running back Christian McCaffrey has not played since he left his team's 42-16 loss to Washington State on Oct. 8 with an undisclosed injury. However, he's ready to make his return to the field.

McCaffrey, who did not play in Stanford's 17-10 victory over Notre Dame last week while nursing an undisclosed injury, has been slowed over his last two active games, carrying the ball a combined 20 times for 84 yards with 35 receiving yards and no scores.

anyway its pre season so him not be injured yet doesnt mean much to me. I do believe he will get banged up running between tackles if thats how they ft him a lot there. that should be stewarts job not his. Christian body type is reggie bush ish and reggie missed like 40 something games in his career

This guy is trying to compare what a pac 12 rb did vs sec @ acc rbs

That's because they built the team around Vick. When you use a single player as a foundation for a franchise, and then that player is no longer there, of course you're going to struggle. That's the nature of the beast. That's why we went away from that system. Vick was a terrible QB, with terrible work ethic, and gifted athletic ability. Notice how Roddy flourished under a QB that could actually make reads, and that was Chris Redman. And for all his "winning", Vick still wasn't able to lead his team to any sort of reputable winning percentage

Well I've seen every Falcon QB. From Hecker to Ryan.

Give me Vick right after Ryan with Bart a notch below. Liked Miller too.

Buddy was a game changer. Trust me. I think yall boys have already forgotten what he did.

Or quite possibly paralyzed with Vick hate.

Never saw Bartkowski play but from what I hear from numerous Falcons fans, he is the second best QB this franchise has ever had.

Oh I'm well aware of Vick's playmaking ability. You must have forgot that he also had an absolutely horrible worst work ethic.

I'm sure if you owned a franchise you would be fine with a player not giving it their all. However for the majority of the people on these boards, and real life, would much rather have a player that put their nose to the grindstone day in and day out.

Nothing worse than giving it your absolute all and you see the guy next to you half assing it.

I'm not addicted to these 'running quarterbacks' like many seems to be.  Give me a good pocket passer over _any_run first quarterback.

I agree, Vick was never going to take a team to a Super Bowl although Kaepernick did with an elite defense. I cant think of any other run first QBs now though, Tyrod Taylor maybe?

Sad thing is that if Vick did apply himself he could have been great. However he decided to take the easy way out and do the bare minimum. He may very well be the 3rd best QB this franchise ever had, but that's not saying much when you've seen the amount of terrible QBs we have had. Vick will never be in the HoF and will be a forgotten. His only legacy will be that of a cautionary tale.
