Flowers should be nowhere near catching a pitcher. The middle relief pitching is crap. No bench. Inciarde is back to who i always thought he was. Garcia isnt a starter. Whatever, they got a new stadium out of the deal... It's game 4. If it was game 124 I may agree with you. But it's too soon to be saying "this team sucks." But this team is not going to win anything in October. That was never what this team was capable of doing.

Falconsfan567 35,212
It just hit me that the guys starting at 3B and SS for the Angels were both once considered the SS of the future for the Braves. And that Escobar was traded to make room for Simba.
Falconsfan567 35,212
Just saw MLB N make the excuse that the Nats had a bad travel schedule last night playing night game before day game in Philadelphia. But their game started 2 hours after the Braves game in Pittsburgh did and it's a shorter distance from Washington to Philly than New York to Pittsburgh. Just funny how certain teams get excuses made for them over other teams.

Do just enough to keep them interested, while they rake in the dough. Neither team wants to really pay to win a championship. Exhibit A with the Braves was shipping Simmons out and replacing him with a cheap Dansby Swanson that they can market to the locals as a homegrown player. They are trying to win on the cheap... When you are BUILDING a young pitching staff, you put the BEST defenders behind them. Think Rafael Beilliard when the Braves signed him to back up that young staff they were building. Swansby, if anything, couldve been moved over to second base. Its not about winning with the Braves, its about being cheap...

Unknøwn 13,608
If you don't think Dansby is a very good defensive player on his own you havent been watching. He's not as good as Simmons but he's not far behind. I'll take that given the fact he's a better hitter. The guy was the #1 overall pick in the draft for a reason. He has more going for him than being from Georgia. I don't know any Braves fans that say they would rather have Simmons.

Unknøwn 13,608
Vegas is reportedly planning to make a big push for an MLB team now that they have the Raiders and an NHL team. Manfred has expressed his interest in the market before. We know the MLB eventually wants to add 2 more teams so itll be one to watch. The Rays and A's could also be looking for new homes if they cant get stadium deals done. Some more info on what seemed like an odd firing of Barry Bonds by Miami. He reportedly knew what he was doing but struggled to communicate it properly to the players. He knew what was wrong he just doesnt know how to teach it apparently

That's the case with a lot of the greatest players ever. They know what's going on and what needs to be done to fix it but they can't express it correctly because it came so easily to them. Chipper is a rare exception that he was a great player and has the ability to express things so that others can understand them.
