It's amazing they can both go on that kind of run and still have 10 games of separation.

Dodgers are still 92-48 for the season. Just amazing!

The Brewers suffered a major blow to their postseason hopes today, Jimmy Nelson has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a rotater cuff strain. I actually had Nelson in my top 10 MVP candidates.

Rays are playing as the home team in New York for a few days. Game had to be moved due to Irma. They're playing the Yankees but the game is at Citi Field.

The A's have found a ballpark site. It's near Laney College in downtown Oakland. They've entered into talks for the land. They plan to build a $500M, 35,000 seat stadium and be in it by 2023. They expect to negotiate for 9-12 months with the Peralta Community College District which has it's headquarters on the site. The A's will be responsible for finding Peralta new land and paying for it. The A's are also proposing building an 8 acre commercial and housing development just north of the proposed stadium. The revenue from that would go to Laney College for facility repairs and education budget. The A's say they studied a waterfront park but regulations are just more than they were comfortable with and they found the waterfront to be much cooler than the college site. They also studied rebuilding their current stadium. They determined that location just wasn't favorable enough to generate ticket sales to balance the books.

Japanese sensation Shohei Otani is expected to ask his club to post him for MLB teams. Otani is under contract in Japan till 2021 so they could deny his request. Otani is an all around player in Japan. He's a career .286 hitter with 47 HR and 39-15 with 601 career K's in 522.1 innings pitched. Otani is only 23 but has been a pro in Japan since he was 18. Because he's under 25, Otani is also subject to the hard bonus cap. Literally every team can join in his market at $300K. Otani could have waited till he was 25 to get millions but has stated his desire is to play not make the most money.

INDIANS  21  STRAIGHT

Ties the Cubs modern day record set in 1935. MLB recognizes the 1916 New York Giants with a 26-game winning streak as the longest ever, but there's a but with that one. The Giants won 12 straight, then had a tie, then won 14 straight.
